Phnom Kulen est le plateau de gres d'ou proviennent les pierres des temples d'Angkor, et l'endroit ou Jayavarman II se declara monarque universel en 802, date que les Cambodgiens donnent comme fondation de leur empire. La route qui y monte est raide et le site a sa propre entree a 20 USD, distincte de l'Angkor Pass. C'est une journee complete depuis Siem Reap et le meilleur moment est pendant ou juste apres la saison des pluies, quand les cascades coulent vraiment.

Seng is a very nice guide who took the time to explain to us all the aspect of the khmer culture and answer all our questions! Regarding the tour in itself, we actually had a private tour (only me and my friend in the car). we also had to pay 20$/pax more for the access to the park which is not mentionned in the description. The tour finished around 13h30 at the waterfall and the next stop is a very touristic restaurant (~2.5 times normal price) but it seems that all the tours of the region stop here. Super journée découverte au parc de Kulen. Nous avons vu plus de choses que ce qui était annoncé, la navette est venue nous chercher directement à l'hôtel, et le guide au top. Intéressant, motivé, patient, souriant, il a pu nous renseigner sur la culture et la religion, merci Seng Heak !
