Phnom Kulen est le plateau de gres d'ou proviennent les pierres des temples d'Angkor, et l'endroit ou Jayavarman II se declara monarque universel en 802, date que les Cambodgiens donnent comme fondation de leur empire. C'est une journee complete depuis Siem Reap et le meilleur moment est pendant ou juste apres la saison des pluies, quand les cascades coulent vraiment.
