Our guide made Udaipur come alive. He knew every legend behind the City Palace courtyards and even walked us through the quieter lanes around Jagdish Temple that we'd never have found alone. We booked the option with the car and it was absolutely the right call. The driver picked us up from our hotel and we glided between the sights without dealing with rickshaws in the heat. City Palace is enormous and our guide paced it perfectly, knowing exactly where the best mirror halls and viewpoints were. Highly recommend the car add-on.

A beautifully relaxed way to see the old city. Because it was just our family, the guide adjusted everything around our two kids, keeping the palace stories short and fun for them. Lovely tour and a very warm, knowledgeable guide. My only note is that City Palace was extremely crowded the afternoon we went, so a few of the interior rooms felt rushed as we shuffled through with the throng. Going earlier in the day would help. Everything else, especially the temple visit and lakeside views, was wonderful.

Really enjoyed our full day exploring Udaipur privately. Just be prepared for a lot of walking on uneven old stone inside the palace, my mother found the steps tiring by the end.
