Hakone est la station thermale dans les montagnes à 90 minutes au sud-ouest de Tokyo, à l'intérieur de la caldeira d'un ancien volcan. La boucle classique est le téléphérique de Hakone au-dessus des évents sulfureux d'Owakudani, où des œufs sont bouillis noirs dans les sources, un bateau à travers le lac Ashi devant le torii rouge du sanctuaire Hakone, et, par temps clair, le Fuji au-dessus du lac. Le bain en onsen suit les règles habituelles : se laver avant d'entrer, pas de maillot de bain, et de nombreux bains refusent encore les tatouages ou demandent une protection. Le Hakone Free Pass couvre les trains, le funiculaire, le téléphérique et le bateau ; le téléphérique ferme en cas de vent fort et quand les gaz volcaniques montent, ce qui arrive quelques jours par an.

Nobody can promise it. Fuji is clear on roughly a third of days, most often on winter mornings, and from June to September it is in cloud more often than not. The tour runs regardless and the lakes, the pagoda and the ropeway are planned to be worth the day without the summit. There is no refund for cloud.
We confirm your booking with the operator before we treat it as final, and we need at least one day's notice. Once it is confirmed you get the meeting point, the time and a contact number for the day. If the operator cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.
