Une heure sur l'eau a faire le tour du Louvre Abu Dhabi, la perspective pour laquelle le batiment a ete concu et que presque personne ne voit.
Le dome de Jean Nouvel se trouve deliberement au-dessus de l'eau, et ses installations exterieures descendent jusqu'a la mer. Depuis un kayak, vous passez dessous et autour a hauteur des yeux, assez pres pour voir comment le treillis est assemble, tandis que les visiteurs du musee sont a l'interieur a vous regarder.
L'eau ici est calme et abritee, donc aucune experience n'est necessaire. Un guide dirige tout au long et fixe le rythme.
Gilets de sauvetage, sacs etanches et un briefing de securite sont inclus, et il y a une station de recharge en eau plutot que de l'eau en bouteille : apportez donc une bouteille que vous pouvez remplir.
Attention : deux choses a prevoir. Le Louvre Abu Dhabi est ferme le lundi ; la balade en kayak n'est pas affectee mais si vous voulez les deux, evitez un lundi. Et entre juin et septembre, prenez le creneau le plus tot ou le plus tard disponible : une heure sur une eau ouverte sous le soleil de midi d'Abu Dhabi est plus difficile que ca ne semble, et il n'y a pas d'ombre la-bas.
Meilleur a chaque extremite de la journee, quand la lumiere traverse le dome en angle plutot que directement de haut.

It was great to see the Louvre from the water. It provides a completely different perspective, very unique. Make sure to bring a change of clothes, you will be wet as some water runs through the seat. We were guided by Shakil and Waseem. Both seem very professional and well aware of the museum and the construction of it.
Really relaxing and unique experience! I did the 7:30 am tour so the whole area was really quiet but cool to get up close into the Lourve and also to enjoy the sunrise! Would recommend!

Amazing experience to see the museum by kayak, learning about the architecture and history. Bonus was seeing the sunset and beautiful Abu Dhabi skyline throughout. Note the waters can get choppy as you go around, expect to put in quite a bit of effort. Although once you’re within the vicinity of the museum it’s easy and relaxing. The team were friendly and helpful, there an area for you to change and they provide a waterproof bag for your phones should you wish to take photos. All in all, good experience, recommended. On this occasion it was just us and the guide. Gem of an activity to round off your trip to the Louvre

Amazing guide. All the staff at the Louvre are very nice.
Great value for money. Ramshat really took his time when paddling around the Louvre, letting us enjoy it as much as we could. We booked a 5 PM slot, and only were 5 people, making it a truly relaxing experience. Can highly recommend!
