Al Khayma est le plus grand des camps desertiques et ceci en est le billet premium, qui en pratique signifie trois buffets separes plutot qu'une seule file, un espace assis a l'ecart de la foule principale, et assez de temps pour profiter vraiment du camp plutot que manger et partir.

L'apres-midi commence comme tout bon safari : prise en charge a l'hotel en 4x4, pneus degonfles a la ligne des dunes, et une demi-heure a travers le sable rouge. Le sandboard et une balade a dos de chameau suivent, et il y a un faucon au camp, l'oiseau se pose sur votre gant, ce qui fait une meilleure photo que ce que la plupart des gens attendent.

Les trois buffets sont emirati, marocain et arabe, chacun avec sa propre station en direct, et ils durent assez longtemps pour que vous ne soyez pas presse. Autour, le camp propose henne, chicha, nourrissage des chameaux, et les spectacles de tanoura et de feu du soir.

Deux choses a prevoir. Le dune bashing n'est pas doux, signalez donc tout probleme de dos, de cou ou de mal des transports au moment de la reservation. Et le desert devient vraiment froid apres la tombee de la nuit entre novembre et fevrier, le camp est ouvert sur les cotes et une veste rend les deux dernieres heures bien plus agreables.

Amazing experience on this safari. Ask the activities were fun and well catered for our children. Food at the end was amazing and activities were plentiful. Highly recommend it.

Wow, wow, wow! This trip exceeded all our expectations. Our guide, Babar, was friendly, informative and incredibly attentive. He taught us so much about the history and culture of the UAE and made sure we were happy and comfortable throughout the experience. The highlights for me were the dune bashing, quad biking and camel ride. The food was delicious and plentiful, and there were several air-conditioned tents where you could escape the intense heat when needed. My 10-year-old loved every minute of it! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this experience—and especially Babar—to anyone visiting Dubai.
