Une place réservée dans le train Heritage par le col de Hai Van, le plus beau tronçon de voie ferrée du Vietnam.

La ligne longe la côte entre Da Nang et Hué et grimpe le Hai Van, le col des Nuages de l'Océan, sur une corniche taillée dans le flanc de la montagne. Pendant environ quarante minutes, la voie surplombe le lagon de Lang Co, avec la mer juste sous la fenêtre et la paroi rocheuse de l'autre côté. Jeremy Clarkson l'a qualifiée dans Top Gear de l'une des plus belles routes côtières du monde, et le chemin de fer passe au-dessus de la route, avec la meilleure vue.

Le col est aussi une véritable frontière climatique. Il bloque la mousson du nord-est : Da Nang, côté sud, est souvent sec et chaud pendant que Hué, côté nord, est grise et pluvieuse le même après-midi. On regarde la météo changer par la fenêtre.

Le service Heritage est le train touristique et non le train local ordinaire : sièges moelleux, climatisation, grandes fenêtres conçues pour regarder dehors.

Réservez le côté gauche pour aller de Da Nang à Hué afin d'avoir la mer, et le côté droit dans l'autre sens. C'est un billet aller simple : choisissez donc le sens qui correspond à la suite de votre voyage plutôt que de revenir sur vos pas.

Trois heures et demie de centre-ville à centre-ville, ce qui est plus rapide que le bus et bien plus agréable à regarder.

It was a great trip! Amazing musical performers and the food available to purchase was delicious. It was nice to be able to walk about the train and stretch your legs whenever you needed too. Highly reccomend.

alot of beautiful scenery along the way we decided to take a car ride to hue arrived 9 am $40 spent the day exploring, there is plenty of ride options if walking is not your thing, We walked to train station , took afternoon train back to da nang ,sat in coach 1 left side this train ride is good for all ages,

Incredible scenic train ride! The views through Hai Van Pass were stunning and the whole experience was smooth, comfortable, and well organized. Definitely one of the best ways to travel between Da Nang and Hue. Highly recommended!

The AC was broken. And the Duration was too long since the train was really slow. Other than that it was ok.
