Our pottery class went from great to amazing because of our very talented instructor Hang. She was very pleasing from the beginning and so attentive. You can keep making as many ceramics as you want within 1.5 hours and choose 1 free with the class booked. We decided to make a bowl for our cat. We were surprised she customized the bowl for us and added our cat's name when we claimed it. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that made us appreciate this class more. Very interesting tour of several different factories in Bat Trang village! The pottery class was also really well taught and lots of fun.
We had a great time. Tony took us around multiple ceramics and pottery places and showed us around the village! We really enjoyed it. The pottery class was very fun and the staff was very patient with us (never done it before!). We highly recommend!
We had 90 minutes being taught how to use a potters wheel and making our own works of art. Managed a few bowls for our cats. Then into a car to Bat Trang village where we toured a number of factories specialising in all aspects of the craft of ceramics. A lovely meal and a walk around the old village then back. Highly recommended, you will be amazed at the skills on display and will never look at piece of pottery in the same way again.
Louisa is a fantastic guide. She was thoroughly knowledgeable about the pottery villages and customized the tour to meet our interests. What sets Louisa apart is her willingness to share her family history and her contemporary life as a hardworking young woman with degrees in Linguistics and Mechanical Engineering. I was the former President of Geographic Expeditions, an American Tour Operator and will share Louisa is a gem.
I love my tour here. Kuya Sony, the guide and also the owner, was very helpful and accommodating. I signed up for the the pottery class also and it was amazing. He even gave me 2 ceramics for free! Would highly recommend!! ❤️
We were lucky to have only the two of us on our tour this meant we had a comfortable car to transport us to Bat Trang We did our pottery class first ( note we made 3 pieces and one piece will get fired and glazed for free , extra pieces you need to pay for but the cost was reasonable We will leave Hanoi tomorrow and that means our fired pieces need to be posted on to another destination, so do the Bat Trang pottery early in your stay if you want to take it with you Postage to our HCM accommodation was reasonable Tony gave us a personal tour of his family’s factories which was fascinating His t
The tour was excellent we got to see the factory and it's workings along with a few other factors that made different products. Out tour guide Sony was very insightful and was extremely helpful. We saw the ancient village and shopped as well. For lunch we had authentic Vietnamese food (note: if you are vegetarian please inform prior to your visit) We ended the tour with making pottery pieces of our own where again they were extremely patient and helpful. overall excellent tour and would highly recommend
