Cette expérience de 3 jours se déroule au départ de Hanoï, construite autour de Midi : déjeuner en route et Après-midi : col de Ma Pi Leng. Votre place est retenue auprès de l'opérateur avant que nous considérions votre réservation comme définitive.
Hanoï a mille ans et c'est une capitale coloniale française, les deux à la fois : les 36 rues du vieux quartier portant chacune le nom de la corporation qui y travaillait, le lac de l'Épée restituée en son cœur, le temple de la Littérature de 1070, le mausolée où Hô Chi Minh repose exposé (le matin seulement, fermé le lundi et le vendredi et deux mois chaque automne), et le quartier français bordé d'arbres, de villas et de l'Opéra. Les cafés de la rue du Train, où la voie passe à un mètre des tables, ouvrent et ferment au gré des décisions des autorités. Le café à l'œuf y a été inventé en 1946, le bun cha est le déjeuner, et le théâtre de marionnettes sur l'eau, au bord du lac, est la soirée. Hanoï est fraîche et grise de décembre à février et chaude de mai à septembre ; octobre et novembre sont les mois à privilégier.
La journée suit un déroulé précis plutôt qu’un programme vague. 8:00 AM Breakfast with Ha Giang steamed rice rolls, 9:30 AM Quan Ba Heaven Gate, 10:00 AM Lonely Tree and Can Ty Slope, 11:45 AM Lunch in Yen Minh, 1:00 PM Sao Ha Village puis 2:30 PM Tham Ma Pass. Les horaires bougent un peu selon la circulation et le rythme du groupe, et votre guide vous prévient le matin si quelque chose a changé.

Take bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang
Bus picks you up in Hanoi and departs for Ha Giang. Settle in for the overnight transfer north. We also offer pick up from Ha Giang, Cat Ba, Ninh Binh, Sapa, Cao Bang. Beside evening bus, you can also choose afternoon bus at 13:00 - 15:00 - 17:00
Arrive in Ha Giang
Arrive in Ha Giang, check in, and rest overnight before the first day of the journey begins.
8:00 AM - Breakfast with Ha Giang steamed rice rolls
Begin the day with banh cuon, one of Ha Giang's simple and comforting breakfast specialties. Meet your guide and rider, prepare your day bag, and get ready for the first mountain roads.
9:30 AM - Quan Ba Heaven Gate
Stop at Quan Ba Heaven Gate for sweeping views of the Twin Mountains and the valley below. This is one of the most beautiful introductions to the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
10:00 AM - Lonely Tree and Can Ty Slope
Pause at the Lonely Tree and Can Ty Slope, two simple but iconic stops on the Ha Giang Loop. They are perfect for fresh air, open scenery, and easy photos before the road continues deeper into the mountains.
11:45 AM - Lunch in Yen Minh
Enjoy lunch in Yen Minh, a quiet town surrounded by limestone hills. After lunch, the ride continues toward the villages and high passes of Dong Van.
1:00 PM - Sao Ha Village
Visit Sao Ha Village, where H'mong families live in traditional homes and preserve old customs. The village is also known by many Vietnamese travelers through the film Tet O Lang Dia Nguc, but its real beauty is in the stillness of daily life.
2:30 PM - Tham Ma Pass
Ride through Tham Ma Pass, one of the most scenic roads in Ha Giang. The pass curves through steep mountain scenery and gives you the feeling of entering the old highland world of Dong Van.
4:00 PM - Vu Family Mansion
Explore the Vu Family Mansion, more than 100 years old, with stone architecture, wooden doors, and a layered history tied to the region's former H'mong royal family.
6:00 PM - Arrive in Dong Van
Check in at your stay in Dong Van, enjoy dinner, and rest for the night. If you still have energy, take a slow walk through Dong Van Ancient Town before bed.
7:30 AM - Breakfast and check out
Have breakfast at your accommodation and check out. On Sundays, the day can start around 7:00 AM so you have time to visit the lively highland market before leaving Dong Van.
8:30 AM - Lung Cu Flag Tower and Lo Lo Chai Village
Visit Lung Cu Flag Tower, a meaningful landmark marking the northern edge of Vietnam. Continue to Lo Lo Chai Village, known for earthen-wall houses, distinctive architecture, and cultural traditions preserved across generations.
Midday - Lunch on the road
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant along the route before the afternoon ride toward Ma Pi Leng and the Nho Que River.
Afternoon - Ma Pi Leng Pass
Conquer Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam's four great mountain passes. The road opens to deep canyon views, rugged limestone cliffs, and some of the most powerful scenery in Ha Giang.
2:00 PM - Boat ride on the Nho Que River
Take a boat ride on the emerald Nho Que River, passing through the deep canyon beneath the cliffs. This is one of the most memorable moments of the loop: calm water, vast rock walls, and endless mountain angles for photos.
3:30 PM - Mi Po viewpoint cafe
Stop at Mi Po cafe for a panoramic view over Ma Pi Leng and the Nho Que River. It is one of the best places in the area to pause, breathe, and take in the full scale of the landscape.
Evening - Overnight in Meo Vac, Pa Vi, or Yen Minh
Check in for the night in Meo Vac, Pa Vi, or Yen Minh depending on room availability. After dinner, you may join community-style evening activities such as bamboo dancing, karaoke, or a warm herbal foot soak inspired by local traditions.
8:00 AM - Breakfast and check out
Check out after breakfast and continue the journey through the mountain roads near Vietnam's northern frontier.
9:30 AM - Meo Vac Information Center
Take a short rest and enjoy a drink at the Meo Vac Information Center before the ride continues.
10:30 AM - M-shaped Road viewpoint
Check in at the famous M-shaped curve, known for its sharp bends wrapping around the mountainside. It is one of the most striking road scenes on the return route.
1:30 PM - Lung Tam Linen Weaving Village
Visit Lung Tam Village, where H'mong artisans preserve the traditional craft of linen weaving. The stop gives you a closer look at a skill passed down through generations.
2:00 PM - Thai An Waterfall
Continue to Thai An Waterfall, a peaceful waterfall hidden behind green forest scenery. It is a gentle final nature stop before returning to Ha Giang City.
3:00 PM - Km 0 milestone and return to hotel
Stop at the Km 0 milestone, the symbolic marker of Ha Giang City, to close the loop with one last photo. Then return to the hotel to freshen up and prepare your luggage.
3:30 PM - Departure to Hanoi
Board your bus back to Hanoi. End of tour.

We did the Ha Giang Loop with Serenity and had an amazing experience! Everything went smoothly from start to finish. A special shoutout to our drivers, who were exceptionally careful and made us feel safe throughout the entire journey. We booked the tour for our group of four and ended up getting a private tour, which was an awesome bonus for us. Highly recommended!
Amazing tour with so many wonderful viewpoints. My easy rider was sweet and very helpful. The stay at the Serenity Bungalows was so good, these were the most comfortable beds I have slept in during my travels through Vietnam. The breakfast was good, the view from the room picturesque and the location just perfect walking distance from the centre. All in all a tour I would definitely recommend to book with Serenity. If I could book every tour with Serenity, I would.
Me and my cousin did the Hi Giang Loop with Serenity in May 2026. There were four people in our group, along with four easy riders. I can honestly say it is the best thing either of us has ever done. The views and scenery is beautiful, but what makes the trip is the people. Singh, Thanh, Ngoc and Bien were the most helpful, kind and funny people I’ve met. They made sure we had everything we needed and we were also comfortable and okay with what we were doing. They made us feel like we were one big family. I think the smaller groups are better, because you get to know one another on a more pers
We had a great Trip and couldn’t have asked for better guides. Ha Giang is a beautiful place and the stops and activities that the guides take you to make it all the while. 3 days of riding was enough for us
Cat was out guide in a small group of two people, which was great because we were able to do many things very individually. I enjoyed the tour a lot, Cat took us to very remote place. Accommodation could be better in my opinion but at least it was a private one. A bit different than what i understand under bungalow. And you stay at the same place for 2 nights. I don’t know if we could see more, if we stayed in another village. Food was amazing. Overall very good experience, good value for the money you pay.
Cat was an amazing guide. He drove very safely and made sure the whole group was cared for. With Cat & the team, you can rest assured that you are in safe hands. I highly recommend Serenity to do the Ha Giang Loop with. They were very professional, and took us to very unique spots off the beaten path. Easily one of the best highlights of our 2 week Vietnam trip. The Ha Giang Loop is truly a one of a kind, must see experience and we couldn’t have been happier with choosing this tour. We’ve had such an incredible experience on the tour and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the accommodations are, compared to the dorms we heard about with other tours. Our tour group consisted of 4 people, the drivers, and our tour guide Cat, who was lovely, extremely helpful in making sure all our needs were taken care of, and did a great job of showing us around. The small group dynamic definitely made it
I highly recommend Serenity! Our Easy-Drivers were very skilled and nice. We booked the private bungalow and we were stunned how clean and modern it looked. The service was excellent! We felt very comfortable and relaxed during this amazing tour. The only thing we were disappointed about was the waterfall. The waterfall is very small and very touristy. In summary we are satisfied and happy that we booked with serenity.
We do enjoy our 3 days trip, nice scenery, nice room, nice people.
