Hô Chi Minh-Ville, que tous ses habitants appellent encore Saïgon, est la plus grande ville du Vietnam et son moteur économique, et une journée sur place, c'est le district 1 et Cholon : le musée des Vestiges de la guerre, le palais de la Réunification où les chars ont enfoncé les grilles en 1975, la poste française et la cathédrale Notre-Dame, le marché de Ben Thanh, et le quartier chinois de Cholon avec le temple de Thien Hau. C'est aussi la ville de la cuisine de rue : pho, banh mi, com tam et riz brisé aux tables installées sur le trottoir, à découvrir de préférence lors d'une tournée du soir à moto, puisque c'est ainsi que la ville se déplace. La circulation est à la fois le spectacle et le danger : traversez d'un pas régulier et les deux-roues vous contournent. Cu Chi et le Mékong sont les deux excursions à la journée.

We absolutely loved our Saigon food tour with Nam and Tram! They were both so friendly and clearly passionate about Vietnamese food and local culture. Duy and Tram are also the best for getting to know Saigon culture and history behind the city. We had such a great time and ended it with a drink together at an amazing rooftop bar!! Had a fantastic evening with Nam on the Walking Street Food Tour in the Ex-Mafia District + Skyline Bar. Since he was born and raised there, the stories felt authentic and gave great insight into local life. The food was delicious, the hidden alleys were fascinating, and the skyline bar was a perfect finish. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the real Saigon.

It was so much fun! The food was delicious and Nam gave an amazing tour. You get to feel like a local and eat among them as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a more local and personal experience!
Exploring the hidden alleys on foot allowed us to slow down, absorb the local atmosphere, and see things you would completely miss from a vehicle. Our guide shared stories about the old mafia days right where they actually happened. Every single food stop was packed with authentic flavors. We ate where the locals eat, far away from the usual tourist spots.

This was probably one of the best trips we have done. started a little unexpected as Nam and Tram turned up on Mopeds. It hadn't entered our heads they would be picking us on them, But..... The Moped ride probably added to the fun. For one of us this was the first time on the back of a bike. Nam and Tram were excellent and we felt very safe even through Ho Chin Minh city traffic. All I can say if you go on this trip make sure you have an empty stomach because the food just keeps coming. Vi blev mødt af Duy, som kender distrikt 4 og næsten alle dens beboere. Vi fik lækker (og meget) mad - og spiste blandt lokale, mens Duy fortalte os om kvarterets historie. Vi vil anbefale alle denne oplevelse, da vi nu føler at vi ikke bare har set Saigon men faktisk har besøgt byen!
This was much more than a food tour. Walking through the old alleyways of District 4 with Duy felt like exploring Saigon with a local friend who knows every corner and every story. The food was delicious and varied, from street snacks to local specialties, but what really stood out were the stories about the neighborhood’s history and transformation from the former “mafia district” to what it is today. Finishing the evening with a drink overlooking the city skyline was the perfect ending. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the real Saigon.
This was exactly the kind of experience we were hoping for. Duy took us through small alleys and local food spots we would never have found on our own. Every stop had a story, and it felt less like a tour and more like spending an evening with a local friend. We left with full stomachs and a much deeper appreciation for Saigon.
