Hoi An est un port de commerce que le fleuve Thu Bon a ensablé au XIXe siècle, et c'est pour cela que sa vieille ville de maisons-boutiques chinoises, de maisons de congrégation, de pont couvert japonais et de demeures de marchands aux murs ocre est parvenue intacte jusqu'à son classement à l'UNESCO en 1999. La vieille ville est fermée aux deux-roues une bonne partie de la journée, éclairée de lanternes de soie le soir, et la plus fréquentée lors de la fête des lanternes de pleine lune, chaque mois lunaire. Autour : le village maraîcher de Tra Que, les canaux de cocotiers d'eau de Cam Thanh et leurs barques rondes en vannerie, le village de potiers de Thanh Ha, la plage d'An Bang et, à 40 kilomètres dans les terres, les ruines cham de My Son, à voir à 7 h avant les autocars. La ville est aussi la capitale vietnamienne de la couture sur mesure ; un costume demande 24 heures.

What can I say about my walking tour with Terrence! I cannot recommend this tour more, Terrence was lovely, had so much knowledge about Hoi An and the history of ancient town, he guided me through temples and an old Chinese home, bought me a lotus tea to sample and then took me for a Vietnamese opera experience. At the very end Terrence gave me the gift of a fridge magnet with a picture of myself he had taken in front of the Japanese bridge. It was such a lovely experience for this solo traveller, could not recommend more highly
I had a great time with Terrance, he is a great guide and good guy. even though I was the only one in the group he made a huge effort to ensure I had the best experience, giving me history and interesting facts about each of the 5 places we visited. Above and beyond this Terrance kindly took some photos of me at the Japanese bridge and one of the Chinese temples, which was really appreciated. He also took me to a highly entertaining mini show. when we had finished he presented me with a personalized fridge magnet with my photo on it!
This was such an interesting tour. We walked the old town with a fabulous guide named Terrance. He was very knowledgeable, and gave us a history of the building and temples, which brought the town to life for us. Hoi Ann town has such a rich and varied history, we would never have had such an understanding without our guide. Terrance was friendly, funny and so helpful. I would absolutely recommend him. We had a great time. ♥️

Tour was personalized, done at our pace and not rushed. Thien our guide was excellent; he added 2 extra places to see. Nice surprise at the end. Had a workshop on making a hand-made card, which had photo of us, sent ahead by Thien.

I especially liked learning about feng shui and family traditions. The tour felt intimate and calm. Perfect for travelers who enjoy learning and observing rather than rushing.

What I liked most about this tour was the pace. It felt unhurried and thoughtful. The guide shared stories about families, temples and traditions that made the Old Town feel alive. I learned a lot about symbolism and architecture, especially things like door placement and roof decorations. The small group size made it easy to ask questions. A great choice for anyone interested in culture and history.
This was my first cultural tour in Hoi An and it set the tone for the rest of my stay. The guide gave helpful background on history, beliefs and daily life. Visiting the assembly hall and temples helped me understand the town’s mixed heritage. I appreciated the quieter routes and relaxed pace. The tea break was a nice pause. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants context before exploring on their own.
