Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring traditional Northwest Vietnamese dishes. After lunch, return to your hotel and prepare for the afternoon visit to Cat Cat Village.

Explore Cat Cat Village

Meet your local English-speaking guide and explore Cat Cat Village, a traditional H'Mong village about 2 km from Sapa. Walk along stone-paved paths, see traditional wooden houses, and learn about local crafts including weaving, indigo dyeing, and silver jewelry making.

Waterfall, Stream & H'Mong Culture

Continue through Cat Cat Village to Tien Sa Waterfall, Muong Hoa Stream, and the iconic giant water wheels. Depending on the local schedule, enjoy traditional H'Mong music and folk performances. Traditional costumes can also be rented at your own expense for photos.

Return to Sapa Town

Return to Sapa Town after your afternoon visit. Relax at your hotel and enjoy some free time before dinner and an evening at your own pace.

Breakfast at the Hotel

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before beginning the day’s sightseeing program. Take some time to prepare for the morning journey to Fansipan.

Transfer to Fansipan Cable Car Station

Meet your guide and driver at the hotel and transfer to Fansipan Cable Car Station. You may also choose the optional Muong Hoa Mountain Train from Sapa Station to the cable car area at your own expense.

Fansipan Cable Car Experience

Ride the cable car toward Fansipan and enjoy spectacular views over Muong Hoa Valley, Hoang Lien National Forest, and the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range. The cable car ride takes around 15–20 minutes.

Spiritual Complex & Summit Ascent

Continue toward the summit by climbing approximately 600 stone steps, or use the optional funicular at your own expense. Explore the spiritual complex, including the Great Amitabha Buddha, Arhat Garden, pagodas, bell tower, and Heaven’s Gate.

Reach the Roof of Indochina

Reach the summit of Fansipan at 3,143 meters, known as the Roof of Indochina. Take photos at the summit marker, admire panoramic mountain views, and enjoy cloud scenery when weather conditions allow.

Return to Sapa & Lunch

Return to Sapa Town with your guide and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring traditional Northwest Vietnamese specialties before continuing the afternoon program.

Explore Moana Sapa

Visit Moana Sapa, a popular scenic photography destination overlooking the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range. Explore Bali Heaven Gate, Infinity Lake, the giant Moana Statue, and other mountain-view photo spots.

Return to Sapa Town

Return to Sapa Town in the late afternoon. Relax at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your own pace.

Return to your hotel and complete check-out between approximately 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM before continuing to lunch.

Return Journey to Hanoi

Board the bus for the return journey from Sapa to Hanoi. Departure is scheduled between approximately 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM, subject to road and traffic conditions.

The price does not cover personal expenses, additional drinks during meals, tips for the guide and support staff and traditional h'mong costume rental. Everything it does cover is listed in full on this page, so if something is not on that list, budget for it separately.
Most day treks are 10 to 15 km on village paths, steep and muddy after rain, done in trainers or light boots. Local Hmong or Dao women guide and set an easy pace. Bring a rain jacket, a warm layer from November to March, cash for the villages, and a small bag; homestays provide mattresses, blankets and dinner. Leave the big luggage at your hotel in town.
