Cette expérience de 6,5 heures se déroule à Sapa. Votre place est retenue auprès de l'opérateur avant que nous considérions votre réservation comme définitive.
Sa Pa se trouve à 1 600 mètres d'altitude dans les monts Hoang Lien, près de la frontière chinoise : une station d'altitude française des années 1920 devenue la base des treks à travers les vallées en terrasses des villages hmong, dao et giay. La marche classique descend de la ville par Cat Cat ou Y Linh Ho jusqu'à Lao Chai et Ta Van, le long de la vallée de Muong Hoa, cinq à six heures, avec déjeuner chez l'habitant et, pour la version en deux jours, une nuit en homestay ; ce sont des femmes hmong du coin qui guident la plupart des treks, et les sentiers sont boueux après la pluie. Le Fansipan, plus haut sommet d'Indochine à 3 143 mètres, se rejoint en 15 minutes de téléphérique ou en deux jours d'ascension. Les terrasses sont inondées et miroitantes en mai et juin, dorées en septembre ; de décembre à février il fait froid, souvent brumeux, et il neige parfois. Le marché du dimanche de Bac Ha, à deux heures de là, est le grand marché des Hmong fleuris.

Slow paced hike through the valley. Plenty of stops. A bit too many and too long for my taste, but others in the group were happy to sit and chill. I tracked around 10km walking altogether. Lunch for us was at a village restaurant rather than in a villagers home, which I actually preferred. The route was almost entirely down hill, with bus bringing us back to center of Sa Pa. I went on a trekking tour today visiting a few villages, and honestly, what made the whole experience so special was our guide, A. From the very beginning, everything was well organized, but I wasn’t expecting the experience to be quite as memorable as it was. A made such a huge difference. She shared so much about her culture, her tribe, and everyday life, and she did it in such a warm and genuine way. I really enjoyed this experience! Our guide, A, was a big part of what made it so enjoyable. She was incredibly kind, funny, and enthusiastic about sharing her Black Hmong culture. It was fascinating to learn more about this community way of life. And the views are so beautiful. One thing to note: because it was very rainy, the trek was extremely slippery, and I found some parts a bit dangerous.
We did a day trip with A! she was the best - funny, nice, smart!!! explained everything perfectly and helped us a lot! we miss her already! U should book this trip and ask for A - the best tour guide!!!
We had an amazing trekking experience in Sapa with Vu! She was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful throughout the whole day. She took us through the beautiful rice terraces and showed us some amazing views, while also telling us interesting things about the local culture and way of life.

Fantastic hike in the beautiful Sapa countryside. No bus or van ride needed as the hike starts directly from town. Excellent guide who actually lives in one of the villages we passed through and who had lots of interesting information to share.
Our guide, Vu was so knowledgeable about the culture, nature and was so chatty throughout the hike. We really enjoyed it and learnt so much from her. Food was great, the local villagers who followed us on the hike were very helpful too and made sure we did not slip and fall during the hike. 100% recommend you immerse yourself into the local culture with this day hike!

Our Sapa trekking experience was amazing, and our guide Mao was absolutely wonderful! She was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and made the trek so enjoyable. She showed us beautiful scenery and shared so much about the local culture and villages. We felt comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend Mao if you’re looking for an authentic and memorable Sapa trekking experience!
