Cette expérience de 3 jours se déroule au départ de Sapa, construite autour de Quan Ba, Yen Minh et Dong Van. Votre place est retenue auprès de l'opérateur avant que nous considérions votre réservation comme définitive.

Sa Pa se trouve à 1 600 mètres d'altitude dans les monts Hoang Lien, près de la frontière chinoise : une station d'altitude française des années 1920 devenue la base des treks à travers les vallées en terrasses des villages hmong, dao et giay. La marche classique descend de la ville par Cat Cat ou Y Linh Ho jusqu'à Lao Chai et Ta Van, le long de la vallée de Muong Hoa, cinq à six heures, avec déjeuner chez l'habitant et, pour la version en deux jours, une nuit en homestay ; ce sont des femmes hmong du coin qui guident la plupart des treks, et les sentiers sont boueux après la pluie. Le Fansipan, plus haut sommet d'Indochine à 3 143 mètres, se rejoint en 15 minutes de téléphérique ou en deux jours d'ascension. Les terrasses sont inondées et miroitantes en mai et juin, dorées en septembre ; de décembre à février il fait froid, souvent brumeux, et il neige parfois. Le marché du dimanche de Bac Ha, à deux heures de là, est le grand marché des Hmong fleuris.

Quan Ba

Start your adventure with a private car journey from Ha Giang City into the spectacular northern mountains. Travel along winding mountain roads to Quan Ba, stopping at scenic viewpoints to admire the famous Twin Mountains and the vast valleys below.

Yen Minh

Continue to Yen Minh, surrounded by green valleys and pine forests. Check in to a local homestay, enjoy a home-cooked Vietnamese dinner, and spend the evening experiencing the peaceful atmosphere of the highlands.

Dong Van

After breakfast, continue deeper into the Ha Giang mountains. Travel through dramatic limestone landscapes toward Dong Van, with stops at scenic viewpoints and traditional ethnic villages along the way. Explore Dong Van Old Town, a historic mountain town surrounded by towering limestone peaks. Take some time to walk through its old streets and experience the unique atmosphere of the highland community.

Ma Pi Leng Pass

In the afternoon, continue to the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain roads. Stop at viewpoints overlooking the deep canyon and the Nho Que River winding through the mountains. Arrive in Dong Van and enjoy a local dinner before spending the night at a welcoming homestay.

Meo Vac

After breakfast, begin your final day with a scenic drive toward Meo Vac. Continue along the spectacular Ma Pi Leng mountain area, with opportunities to stop for panoramic views and photographs.

Ha Giang

Discover remote mountain villages and observe the traditional lifestyle of local ethnic communities. Depending on local conditions and your schedule, enjoy a short walk around a village or scenic area. Continue the journey back toward Ha Giang City, taking in the changing landscapes of valleys, limestone mountains, and winding roads along the way. Arrive in Ha Giang in the afternoon, marking the end of your 3-day private car adventure through the Ha Giang Loop.

Most day treks are 10 to 15 km on village paths, steep and muddy after rain, done in trainers or light boots. Local Hmong or Dao women guide and set an easy pace. Bring a rain jacket, a warm layer from November to March, cash for the villages, and a small bag; homestays provide mattresses, blankets and dinner. Leave the big luggage at your hotel in town.
