Our guide made Mehrangarh Fort come alive. He knew the history of every courtyard and palace room, and pointed out the handprints at the gate that I would have walked straight past. Having a private car meant we set our own pace and never felt rushed through the museum. Easily the best day of our Rajasthan trip.
We started early to beat the heat and it was the right call. By the time we reached the fort ramparts the whole Blue City was spread out below us, and later the guide took us to a rooftop for the golden-hour view. The lassi and samosa stop was a lovely touch. Driver was punctual and the AC car was spotless.
A really good tour with a knowledgeable guide who clearly loves his city. My only honest note is that Mehrangarh involves a steep climb and it was very hot in the afternoon, so wear proper shoes and start early. The umbrellas helped. Jaswant Thada and the blue lanes were the highlight for me. Worth it overall.
Excellent value for a fully private day. The air-conditioned car covered Mehrangarh, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan and Mandore Gardens without any hassle, and we could linger wherever we liked. Our guide adjusted the plan when we wanted extra time in the old town near the Clock Tower. Booking was simple and the confirmation came through quickly.
Traveling with my parents, I was worried about the fort steps, but the guide showed us the lift and paced everything perfectly. He was patient, warm and full of stories about Jodhpur's royal history. The Blue City walk through the indigo lanes was magical, and the vegetarian food recommendations near Sardar Market were spot on.
We took the option with entry tickets included and it made the day effortless, no queuing for cash or tickets at each site. Mehrangarh is genuinely one of the most impressive forts I have seen, and our guide's commentary added so much context. Loved the winding walk through the Blue City afterwards. Highly recommend the private format.
Beautiful sights and a friendly, well-informed guide. Honestly the fort was quite crowded by late morning and a couple of the later stops at Mandore felt a little rushed near the end of the eight hours. That said, Jaswant Thada was peaceful and the views over the city were unforgettable. Good tour, just start as early as they offer.
From pickup at our haveli to drop-off, everything ran smoothly. The guide was fantastic on the details of Umaid Bhawan and the fort's cannons, and he found us the best photo spots over the blue rooftops. Having water and an umbrella provided in the heat was thoughtful. A relaxed, private day that we would happily book again.
