Traveler Reviews
We were picked up right on time from our Agra hotel and the whole day just flowed. Our guide explained the story of Krishna's birthplace at Janmabhoomi so vividly that it stayed with us. The air-conditioned car was a blessing in July, and having cold water waiting for us after every temple made a real difference. Genuinely one of the highlights of our India trip.
Very well organised private trip from Agra. The drive is about ninety minutes each way, which gave our guide plenty of time to prepare us for what we'd see. Banke Bihari was packed but he knew exactly how to move us through and where we couldn't take photos. ISKCON at Vrindavan was serene and beautiful. Excellent value for a fully private car and driver.
Did this with my parents who are in their seventies and it worked perfectly. The car dropped us close to each temple so the walking was manageable, and the guide kept a gentle pace. Mum loved the peda shop he took us to in Mathura. Removing shoes at every shrine takes a moment but it's all part of it. Warm, respectful and unhurried.
A really rewarding day, though be ready for a lot of time in the car since it's a round trip from Agra. The temples themselves were wonderful and our guide was patient with all my questions about Krishna. Vrindavan's lanes get crowded and there were a few pushy vendors, but he handled them well. Just start early to make the most of it.
December was the perfect time for this — comfortable weather and softer crowds at the temples. What I appreciated most was the flexibility of a private tour; we lingered at ISKCON far longer than planned and nobody rushed us. The guide's knowledge of the local traditions turned a sightseeing trip into something quite moving. Toll, parking and fuel all sorted, no hidden costs.
Booking was simple and confirmation came through with the driver's number, which was reassuring. From our Agra hotel to Mathura and back, everything was seamless. Krishna Janmasthan felt deeply atmospheric and the guide balanced the spiritual side with practical tips on dress and photography. Great pure-veg lunch recommendation too. Would happily recommend this to anyone based in Agra.
Good, authentic experience and a knowledgeable guide. Fair warning that April is genuinely hot, so the AC car and the bottled water were much appreciated. A couple of the Vrindavan temple stops felt slightly rushed as we tried to fit everything in, but the Banke Bihari and ISKCON visits were the standouts. Solid value overall for a private day out from Agra.
Travelling solo as a woman, I felt completely comfortable the entire day. Door-to-door pickup meant I never had to worry about transport, and the guide stayed close through the busy bazaars. He clearly loves Vrindavan and it showed. Watching the devotion at ISKCON was unforgettable. For ninety dollars covering car, guide, water and all the tolls, it's excellent value.
