Full description
This is a 2-hour experience in Canggu. It is run by S Surf School Bali - Kuta Beach, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Surf lessons around Canggu happen on beach breaks, mostly at Batu Bolong and Berawa, where the sand bottom and slow, crumbling waves suit first days. Lessons run about two hours with a soft-top board and a short session on the sand first, and instructors push beginners into whitewater rather than waiting for green waves. Mornings before 9:00 are cleanest in the dry season, April to October, when the wind is offshore; the wet season brings bigger, messier surf and afternoon onshores. Rash vests are provided and reef shoes are not needed on these beaches. Book a second lesson only after the first; most people are standing by the end of it.
The price covers Private class, Surf coach, All surf equipment, Rashguard and Free photos and one shoot video. It does not cover pregnant women, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
S Surf School Bali - Kuta Beach sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with S Surf School Bali - Kuta Beach before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

This runs outdoors, so the operator can call it off for rain, wind or sea conditions, and that decision is usually made on the day. If they cancel, you choose: another date, or your money back in full. We do not keep a booking fee on a tour that did not run.

Skip was really nice and took good care of me. I had a lot of fun even though my whole body hurt afterwards. Remember to wear swim tights or leggings to protect your legs from the sand! I love that they helped capture our best moments :)

They offer many things. Amazing! Thank u so much! It was included One way hotel pick up, beginner stule teaching on the sand and leading and pushing the boatd in the wave so many times, pics and a video with camera. And one more, I ordered a coconut and it was so so fresh. My teacher was NICO. Thank u so much for this nice chance!
The surf teacher Pos is the best!! He’s a very good teacher and very encouraging. He’s 10/10! You can trust him when in the water that he will keep you safe and teach you from the beginning how to surf! 😊
I’ve just done my 2nd lesson with these guys and going for my third one tomorrow!! The lessons are great, they really care about people learning, and will make sure you’re safe and comfortable during the session, absolutely recommend!!
