Full description
This is a 1-hour experience from Canggu, built around Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Tirta Empul and Tegallalang. It is run by Trip Gotik - Bali Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

I had this amazing tour today with the guide Agus. Since the others who were supposed to join the tour were sick, I ended up having a private tour. Agus took his time with everything and took a lot of pictures of me. He showed me some truly beautiful places in Ubud and explained everything in great detail, so I learned a lot. He was also very friendly and drove really well. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!

OMG!!! Where do we start from… we have travelled different countries had tour guides in most places however the tour guide we had today Bonito was absolutely amazing. He made us feel so welcomed and really comfortable. Nothing was too much. He was soooooo knowledgeable about everything. He was with us all the time making sure we are ok, we are enjoying yourselves. We understood the history and culture behind all the places we choose to see. I do understand that we paid however he could have just given us brief information and let us carry on with our day but he didn’t he went above and beyond.
