This is a experience from Canggu, built around Jatiluwih Rice Terrace, Ulun Danu Bratan Temple and Handara Iconic Gate. It is run by Mantra Bali Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Jatiluwih is the largest stretch of terraced paddy on Bali, around 600 hectares on the southern slopes of Mount Batukaru in Tabanan, and it is the showcase of the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Unlike Tegallalang, there is room to walk for an hour or two on marked paths through the fields without traffic or swings, and the terraces here are wide and flat rather than steep. Rice is planted in cycles, so the fields are bright green for some months and cut stubble for others; ask the operator what stage they are at if the photographs matter to you. Mornings are clearer, and cloud tends to build over Batukaru after midday.

The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking and are worth visiting! The driver, Ryan was very helpful and thoughtful. He even had umbrellas ready for us for when it started raining.

This trip was amazing! I can genuinely recommend it!! The places we visited were super nice, however what made this trip that extraordinary was Putu (driver/guide/person in charge of this trip). I really enjoyed the whole day and thanks to him I got to know so much about Bali, balinese culture and local people habits. I don’t even have to mention his driving skills, I was truly impressed!
