Authentic Balinese Batik at a Hidden Ubud Atelier (Ubud)

Our teacher was amazing he gave lots of advice and was very helpful. A very small studio made for an intimate setting and was a nice change from how busy Ubud is.

I had the class in the new workshop they opened 2months ago. This was by far my favorite experience in Bali. I had so much fun and actually enjoyed the class so much. Juli and Tina were amazing, super helpful, very nice, very friendly. I really enjoyed spending time doing my project and the studio is clean and looks amazing. I recommend doing this class to everyone. I have no prior art experience and still really liked it.

I have so much respect and admiration for Agung. He gave me one on one tuition and was always very helpful and supportive during the process. He allowed me to go at my own pace and be as creative as I wanted. I am so happy with my batik piece. Agung finished the process of setting, washing and drying my work and my batik piece was delivered to my hotel the same afternoon. Agung and his staff were extremely hospitable and very friendly. I am also very impressed with Agung and his batik art program for local children to learn and develop their skills in the batik art process. Thank you so much A

This was a fantastic experience. Ajus was welcoming and calmed my nerves about batik. The studio is a light and airy place with numerous beautiful artworks on display. Ajus talked me through the whole batik process before starting and demonstrated applying wax as many times as I needed. My finished piece wasn't perfect by any means but Ajus made me feel proud of what I achieved. I cannot fault this experience at all or suggest any improvements. I would thoroughly recommend this as a wonderful experience in Ubud.

A great way to spend 3 hours. The course was well structured and the artists made me feel at ease right away. Each step was explained and demonstrated clearly. At the end of the 3 hours I gad a competed painting and this was then left to dry and the final stage of setting the dye was done by the artists. Later in the afternoon the painting was delivered to my accommodation. Turned out great! Highly recommend this activity.

It was a really great workshop in a lovely bright and airy space. The young men explained the process clearly and helped when necessary. The end result was a professional, colourful batic!

The best moment I was in ubud

Such an amazing experience! Tina and Ajus are knowledgeable and talented and provide amazing support as you create your piece. So fun to learn about this technique and create from start to finish. I had been looking for a place to do this activity and was grateful Five Arts had this location near me in a Ubud making it easier to access.

Dit was zo ontzettend tof om te doen! Je mag twee stencils kiezen en deze over trekken. Daarna ging je met de was je design overtrekken en kon je (eigenlijk net als een kleurplaat) je ontwerp schilderen. Echt een aanrader!!
