Authentic Culinary Street Food Experience Tour in Ubud

Had an awesome Bali Food tour with my guide/driver Sumadi. We went to visit a waterfall, tried many different local foods like Babi Guling and Chendol. Also learned a lot from Sumadi about the local culture and customs of Bali, would definitely recommend!

Our guide was Tirta. He was absolutely amazing. This wasn’t just a street food tour. He gave us a tour of many cities. He was funny and kind and he kept the conversation going on it. I had my seven month old daughter with me and he was very patient with us and understanding because it was hot and there was times when she was napping so he was great. When it hit her bedtime he stopped to get us an amazing dessert to take home. A great way to end the day. Me and my family felt like we made a friend. Thank you Tirta.

Bonito went out of his way to make sure we had an awesome day. This tour was not just about food but we learnt a lot about Bali in general. It was cool to visit some spots that were away from the tourist area and taste some amazing authentic local food.

This was absolutely worth every penny, not only did I get to dine like a true Balinesian but Sumadi had so many stories to share about the culture, the country and answered all and any questions that I had. The food was simply delightful, a flavour profile that I had yet to experience and I am truly glad I have now. Seeing the authentic way of life, away from Bali’s tourist appeal was very valuable. My guide Popo picked me up in the morning from my hotel. We drove towards the east of the island to visit Purah Puseh Desa Batuan temple as I had not visited inside a temple at this point. From there we visited a restaurant to enjoy pork cooked 5 ways, and then we drove further south to the coast to enjoy some ocean views, fresh coconut water and still had time for a massage before the night market opened. Beyond the famous Balinese hospitality and smile, she put all her energy into showing me the best, taking me to the typical and authentic places just the way I wanted.
