Bali Swing, Waterfalls and Tegalalang Rice Terrace Tour (Ubud)

This is a 10-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by Ubud Sunrise Trekkings, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

It does not cover Bali Swing Fees, Lunch and Gratuities, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Ubud Sunrise Trekkings sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Ubud Sunrise Trekkings before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.
