This is a 10-minute experience from Ubud, built around Kintamani, Tegalalang and Alas Harum Bali. It is run by PT. Gorilla Adventures Bali, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Mount Batur is an active volcano of 1,717 metres standing inside a much older caldera, with Lake Batur on the floor of it. Sunrise treks start from Toya Bungkah on the lake shore, climb for around two hours on volcanic sand and loose rock, and aim to be on the rim by about 5:30, since the sun comes up between 6:00 and 6:30 depending on the month, behind the cone of Mount Agung to the east. The summit before dawn is regularly 8 to 12°C with wind, so a real warm layer matters more than anything else you pack. Trekking is run through the local village association, which is why every tour, ours included, comes with a guide, and most mornings end at the hot springs on the lake shore. Jeep and ATV versions drive to a viewpoint on the flank of the volcano for the same sunrise and skip the climb, which is the right choice for knees, small children and anyone who did not sleep. In the wet season, November to March, the top is often inside cloud at dawn and there is no refund for weather.

We loved our experience and our driver Edy. The sunrise was so beautiful in the morning and we enjoyed learning about the coffee plantation and getting to try so many different kinds. Edy took good care of us all day, taught us a lot about Balinese culture and answered any questions we had all while getting us to our destination safely! The zip line and lunch was also very cool to see! Would recommend this trip to anyone who visits Bali!

It was a great day and was made extra special and easy by our driver Doni, make sure we got whatever we wanted let you have as much time as needed at places. Was very helpful the coffee and sunrise was amazing views with a finish of a thrilling zip line an relaxing couple hrs in a day club pool.

This was a great day out with all the activities included and a private driver called Mudi who picked me up from the hotel and drove me to all the different locations and even acted as my photographer as I was travelling alone. I started my day with a couple of hours at the sunrise cafe, where I had breakfast and coffee as I watched the sunrise over Mount Batur. The views were stunning. After that my driver picked me up and drove me to Cretya where I did a zip line overlooking beautiful rice terraces. Then I spent some time relaxing by the infinity pools and looking out at the scenery surround
Really lovely day - didn’t quite see the sunrise due to clouds but they all lifted very quickly and we saw the gorgeous views. Our driver Ijonk was very friendly and gave us plenty of time at each stop so we didn’t feel rushed at all. The coffee plantation was a fun experience as well as the zip line and Cretya. Great day over all, would highly recommend.
