This is a 30-minute experience from Ubud, built around Bali Horse Riding and KeepAll Bali Adventure. It is run by Best Destination Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

ATV tracks around Ubud run through the villages north of the town near Payangan and Tegallalang, on a mix of dirt road, plantation track, river bed and, on most routes, a section of deep mud that is the part people remember. Rides are usually 1.5 to 2 hours on the machine, on tandem or single quads, with a guide leading. You will be dirty from the knees down and often entirely, so wear clothes you do not care about; operators provide boots, helmets and a shower afterwards. Minimum ages for driving vary by operator and are stated on the option, and children usually ride as passengers.

Andy was my private driver and I had such a good time with him. People at the reception were also really lovely. We were given basic instructions on how to ride. That was my first time doing horse riding. My guide was amazing and my horse Juliette was adorable as well.
