Full description
This is a 6-hour experience from Ubud, built around View point and Traditional village. It is run by Dewa Bike Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.
Pickup is offered from Kuta, Kuta Selatan, Ubud, Denpasar and Karangasem Regency; the exact spot and time are agreed with Dewa Bike Tour once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

It does not cover Breakfast : Rp. 40.000/pax by rupiah cash or pay on, Pick up and drop in Sanur Rp. 285.000/1 car max 5 people, Pick up and drop in Kuta/Legian Rp. 428.000/1 car max 5 and Pick up and drop in Seminyak Rp. 464.000/1 car max 5 people, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Dewa Bike Tour sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Dewa Bike Tour before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

A great ride through the rice fields and local villages just outside of Ubud. The ride was mostly flat and easy - covering about 12km on paths and (briefly) roads. The bikes were comfortable and in great condition and the guide was knowledgeable, friendly and great throughout!
We went for a day long bike tour with Dewa Bike, a 5 hour private tour for a very reasonable price. Wayan was our guide, who picked us up from our Ubud hotel. The mountain bikes they provided were very high quality and Wayan was a fantastic bike tour guide who gave us very good local information about the rice fields, temples and included a local Balinese home tour and meeting with couple local Balinese farmers along the way. It was a magical experience, we will never forget. I highly recommend Dewa Bike for private tours.

Wat een gastvrije ontvangst in het huis van Dewa! De lunch was lekker en na de fietstocht werden wij ook nog verwend met wat te eten. Vriendelijke gids die veel verteld heeft.
Een leuke tocht waar je veel verschillende dingen ziet. Je gaat langs een tempel, huis, rijstenvelden, school, vele verschillende communitys en een restaurant. De tourgids wist er veel over te vertellen. En Dewa, de eigenaar, is een hele vlotte vriendelijke kerel! Het is een aanrader
