Full description
This is a 2-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by Pranasanti By Luh Manis, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Balinese Hinduism is a religion of daily practice: the small palm-leaf offerings, canang sari, are set out each morning at doorways, shrines and dashboards, and a village temple has festivals on its own calendar, so there is a ceremony somewhere on the island every day. Visitors enter temples in a sarong and sash, provided at the gate, and stay out of the inner courtyards during prayer. Nyepi, the day of silence in March, closes the whole island for 24 hours, including the airport and the roads, and tours do not run that day. Balian, the traditional healers, and palm readers still practise in the villages around Ubud, and a reading is a conversation with an interpreter rather than a performance.

We had a great time with our guide Ita and her grandmother!! 🤗 she is very knowledgeable about Balinese culture and Balinese Hinduism and was able to explain everything to us and answer all of our questions. We were welcomed with Balinese breakfast (little cakes) and we got to wear the traditional clothes. Making the blessings is a crafty activity which we enjoyed and it was very interesting to learn about the reasons behind every aspect of it. Es war eine sehr coole Erfahrung. Alles wurde Schritt für Schritt erklärt und jeder konnte in seinem Tempo arbeiten. Ich empfehle dies sehr für Leute, die gerne die Kultur von Bali besser kennenlernen wollen.
