Full description
This is a 8-hour experience from Ubud, built around Mount Batur View Point, Mount Batur and Batur Natural Hot Spring. It is run by Your Bali Trekking Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Cycling tours around Ubud are mostly downhill: a van takes you up to Kintamani on the caldera rim at about 1,500 metres and the ride comes back down through the villages, past temples, family compounds and paddies, over 20 to 25 kilometres with very little pedalling, ending near Ubud around lunch. E-bike versions do the same loop with power for the short climbs. River tubing runs on the Ayung's calmer stretches and the Siap river near Payangan, an hour or so on the water in a single tube, and pairs with the ride on many of these days. Helmets are provided and the roads are shared with scooters, so the guide leads and stops the group at junctions.

We had Froggy as our driver of a green 1955 VW Thing. Froggy arrived on time and was a safe driver. We really enjoyed the sunrise, lava field, natural springs, lunch, and the coffee plantation tour/tasting. Froggy was fun and happily shared his local knowledge with us. Many thanks to our driver, Agus who arrived on time and drove safely throughout the entire journey. Agus also took the time to describe various aspects of the scenery and Balinese life as we travelled through the countryside which made a fantastic experience even better. If you are a vintage car enthusiast, a ride in an open-topped VW Type 181 is a great way to explore the Ubud area and I recommend this tour without hesitation. It was an excellent day trip . Our driver Froggy was wonderful. I had my elderly mother with me and Froggy looked after her and helped her with everything. The activities were great , we really enjoyed the drive up to Mt Batur , the lava fields and the hot springs. Froggy was full of information and spoke very good English. We had lots of laughs . We would highly recommend this tour and Froggy as our driver . Thanks for a great day trip Froggy.

Wayan Budi Bali was my tour guide. He was fabulous, his full of local knowledge and has a great sense of humour. I never felt rushed and really enjoyed the old VW ride to the volcano black lava and hot springs for a therapeutic dip. I recommend this tour with Wayan 😃
It was great! Froggy called the day before to ensure we left early enough to make the sunset; I appreciated that. The tour was amazing. A very unique experience. Our day was sunset, volcano landscape, hot springs, lunch, coffee, all included in the price. We really loved the vehicle. We would recommend this activity!
