Countryside Bird Watching Tour with Hotel Transfer in Ubud

This tour was exactly what I hoped for. A leisurely pace around 2 parts of Ubud, a forested ridge and a scenic rice paddy area, with an interesting and knowledgeable guide who could spot and identify the birds and their calls instantly. Perfect for birders or anyone wanting to enjoy the open air and nature of Ubud. Also highly recommend the driver who Agung used.

This is a great tour for amateur bird people who want to go to some good sites where you can see the birds of Ubud. We walked on a ridge where we saw a variety of species at a very leisurely pace and then visited the rice paddies and a heron nesting site. We saw interesting birds and the guide was knowledgeable. Not sure how good it would be for more serious birders but our guide was someone you could take that conversation up with

This tour was absolutely wonderful, and a huge part of that was Agung. He has eagle eyes — spotting birds from incredible distances that we would have completely missed on our own. On top of that, he’s incredibly friendly, relaxed, and a joy to spend time with. Even though we weren’t super lucky with the number of birds we saw that day, the experience was still fantastic. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the birds - he recognized all the calls and had eagle eyes for spotting what I would have missed. He also answered many questions about Bali’s culture. What I would recommend is having a bird guide book with us. I am a beginner when I comes to birdwatching, so after the tour he sent me a list of the species we saw and heard and photos of the birds. His manner was friendly and helpful. Very entertaining and enjoyable morning! I throughly recommend.
