This is a 8-hour experience from Ubud, built around Mount Batur View Point and AKASA. It is run by Mount Batur Jeep and Hiking, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

ATV tracks around Ubud run through the villages north of the town near Payangan and Tegallalang, on a mix of dirt road, plantation track, river bed and, on most routes, a section of deep mud that is the part people remember. Rides are usually 1.5 to 2 hours on the machine, on tandem or single quads, with a guide leading. You will be dirty from the knees down and often entirely, so wear clothes you do not care about; operators provide boots, helmets and a shower afterwards. Minimum ages for driving vary by operator and are stated on the option, and children usually ride as passengers.

Honestly, this was probably the best activity we did on the whole trip! Jero was an absolute star. He arrived at the meeting point exactly when we agreed, got us safely and comfortably up to the mountain, and was genuinely so helpful throughout. He even offered to take photos, sort out breakfast and help with everything before we’d even asked. He speaks English really well and was just an absolute gem of a human being. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving people a great experience. Ask for Jero when booking!

Amazing trip! Our host Gede picked us up all the way from Kuta and drove us to Ubud for the Jeep Sunrise Experience. Highly recommend this to everyone, it was genuinely the highlight of our trip. After the jeep, Gede took us to Akasa Cafe which has some of the best views. We had no issues with the booking and everything was as described. Thank you!

Absolutely loved this experience! 🙌 It was already amazing, but honestly, our guide Aldi and our driver Arya made it so much better. He is genuinely one of the sweetest and most fun guides we’ve had. He was constantly taking cinematic videos and photos for us without us even having to ask — and they turned out so Instagram-worthy! 📸 He really knew all the best moments and angles to capture. And the jeep ride itself was a whole vibe 😂🔥 Aldi had amazing music playing and somehow turned the ride into a mini club on wheels.
