Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Ubud, built around Delodsema Traditional Village and Ubud Fireflies Tour Bali. It is run by Ubud Mk2, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Balinese Hinduism is a religion of daily practice: the small palm-leaf offerings, canang sari, are set out each morning at doorways, shrines and dashboards, and a village temple has festivals on its own calendar, so there is a ceremony somewhere on the island every day. Visitors enter temples in a sarong and sash, provided at the gate, and stay out of the inner courtyards during prayer. Nyepi, the day of silence in March, closes the whole island for 24 hours, including the airport and the roads, and tours do not run that day. Balian, the traditional healers, and palm readers still practise in the villages around Ubud, and a reading is a conversation with an interpreter rather than a performance.
The price covers Participation in a traditional Balinese ceremonial offering, Traditional Balinese home visit & old Balinese village tour, Special dinner with Balinese cuisine, Magical firefly watching and Transportation from Ubud Central & Tegallalang area. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Ubud Mk2 sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Ubud Mk2 before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Such a wonderful experience, Nyoman was an excellent guide, informative, interesting and funny. We had an amazing time and seeing the fireflies was just magical π
The most authentic Bali experience in terms of nature and village culture. You are visiting the homestead and farm of a Balinese family that has been living there for four generations. They explain how to make offerings and let you do it yourself. They make traditional food (great soup when we were there π) and they show you their rice fields where the fire flies fly.
The family invited us in, food was good and the fireflies are magical Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting UBud
I would recommend getting pick up for this tour as we did not and it's quite a bit away from udbud central. You can see that this is a new tour, but the professionalism was definitely there. We didn't know what to expect with the cultural tour. Again we had a great experience. We were shown how to prepare for offering and had an informative walk around the village. The meal was traditional Bali but not spicy for those with weaker stomachs. And the fireflies of course were amazing to see in their environment. Would definitely do this tour again especially with family
Our tour was amazing and very informative. He took his time to explain and answer any question. Magical experience with the fireflies. He went above and beyond our expectations.
Kadek and his wife are nice and welcoming. Learning to make the canang was fun and useful if youβre religious. Also Kadek speaks great english, and his wife is an exceptional cook. Truly recommended. Seeing the fireflies while walking in the night was the perfect ending to an already wonderful experience.
I just get back from the trip with Kadek. The activity was splet in three phases: a handcraft workshop, a walk through the village and fireflight observation. Guide speak good and provide a lot of genuine information. Meanwhile, I served the dinner.
it was a great experience to be welcomed into a traditional balinese village. Guides were very friendly and informative. Being able to se the fireflies is something we won't forget. Thanks for a great night.
Excellent experience , I love it! Especially fireflies and the ceremony ππ and offerings) recommended!
We had such a wonderful experience with Kadek. The offering lesson was very special and gave us a beautiful introduction to Balinese culture and traditions. It was lovely to learn the meaning behind the offerings rather than simply seeing the ritual as a visitor. We also enjoyed exploring the local village, which gave us a chance to see a more authentic and peaceful side of Bali away from the busy tourist areas. Kadek was friendly, welcoming, and happy to share stories and explain the local traditions. The Balinese dinner was absolutely delicious! Everything felt fresh, homemade, and full of a
This was the most special experience I had in Bali, and the one that made me the happiest. From beginning to end you feel immersed in the experience of exploring and relaxing in a beautiful traditional Balinese village: making religious offerings, wandering the streets, learning about the village's customs, and having a delicious dinner made entirely from fresh local produce. And then afterwards taking a trip to walk through a moonlight rice field and looking it the fireflies and getting photos with them. The guide was fantastic and because it is his own village he is very knowledgeable and pa
Amazing experience for the whole family. Creating the offerings was incredibly special and the village tour very informative. Seeing and holding the fireflies was so special for us all, highly recommend.
