Full description
This is a 6-hour experience from Ubud, built around View point and Traditional village. It is run by Dewa Bike Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.
Pickup is offered from Kuta Selatan, Karangasem Regency, Denpasar City, Kuta, Ubud and Denpasar; the exact spot and time are agreed with Dewa Bike Tour once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.
The price covers Hotel pickup and return transfer in the Ubud area, E-bike and helmet, Mineral water, Guide and Refreshment. It does not cover Breakfast and Pickup and return transfer outside the Ubud area, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Great half-day e-bike tour through the countryside around Ubud. Friendly guide, fantasic bicycles (more like scooters really - very powerful batteries, hardly any proper cycling/effort needed) and lovely scenery. The route mostly followed quiet country lanes which made cycling a real pleasure - only one short bit on a narrow path between rice fields was a little tricky (but very manageable). We visited a typical Balinese compound and a primary school on the way, both very interesting. The guide explained a lot about the local traditions, beliefs and the day-to-day life in Bali. The lunch that
Angus took my partner and I on a leisurely and informative trip on e bikes around the local area. He was enthusiastic, and shared his knowledge of local industry, culture and customs. The bikes were great and pedal assist only needed on the occasional short hill (100m). Enjoyed the stop at local school, arriving in time to interact with the children in their break. Other stops included jewellery making, coffee tasting and a local home complex. Would highly recommend
What a fantastic day out this was! It was a highlight of our many trips to Bali- thank you Agus and Davis for your fun, entertaining and educational tour. Our family group of 10 people varied from ages 11-60 and we all absolutely loved it. It was a perfect balance of culture and scenery. The pool swim at the restaurant was a great finish too. We had a fantastic day. Picked up from our accommodation on time and driven to the starting point. The bikes were in great condition and we were given a briefing before we started. The track was narrow and bumpy in some parts, however the guide gave instructions about what was approaching along the way. The visit to the family home was educational followed by a visit to the local school. This was the highlight for me. Lunch was nice and a swim in the restaurant pool to finish was a refreshing end before travelling back to accommodate. I would recommend this tour.
This tour was amazing. We went to a coffee/tea shop where we got to taste 15 different beverages (all were super good) road our bikes directly through the middle of rice fields, making for great photos and scenery. Our guide Degus was amazing, He showed us a school and a family home, which he was able to clearly explain the setups of a traditional Balinese home and school. Answering all of my questions with ease. 10/10 if you’re thinking about doing the tour, DO IT.
Very nice experience! We went to very nice local places with guide Made. Also Dewa and his family are just great! Very lovely people. The food at the end is in a local restaurant with a very nice pool!! I really recommend the e-bike tour!!!

Our trip was simply wonderful! I booked a private tour, as my son is special needs (Autism) and I couldn't be happier! Our guide, Butu, was great with my son and we could just go at our own pace. Even though he rides bikes all the time, it was his first time riding an e-bike, and he got time to practise in a quiet street before we left. He quickly caught on and Butu was so patient with him! The school was beautiful, all the children were so interested in interacting with us. Visiting a typical Balinese family was so very educational, and Butu was so knowledgeable about everything, like he was
Great tour guide and even better service before and after the tour. Me(45) and my son(20) enjoyed this very much. If you’re not careful you WILL fall in the rice fields but it was still doable and very exciting. The majority of the ride was through the streets and with the e-bikes it was very easy to just enjoy the views. At each stop our tour guide explained the background and meaning of each location in depth, while being pretty funny in the process. Overall, great experience and would do again.
Dewa ist ein super netter und zuvorkommender Guide. Die Abholung vom Hotel und das zurückbringen hat bestens geklappt. Die Fahrräder sind in einem ordentlichen Zustand und es wird eine Einführung gemacht. Die Strecke war abwechslungsreich und gut zu bewältigen. Wir können dieses junge Unternehmen wärmstens empfehlen.
