Full description
This is a 10-hour experience from Ubud, built around Tenganan, Lahangan Sweet and Tirta Gangga. It is run by Best Destination Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
East Bali is the quieter side of the island under Mount Agung. The Sidemen valley has rice terraces without the crowds of Tegallalang and a view straight up to the volcano; Tirta Gangga is a water palace built by the last raja of Karangasem in 1946, with stepping stones across a carp pond; Taman Ujung is the same family's earlier palace of 1919 on the coast. Besakih, the mother temple, is a complex of 23 temples at 1,000 metres on Agung's slope and needs a sarong and, since 2023, an official guide. Further round the coast, Amed has black-sand beaches and Tulamben has the USAT Liberty, a cargo ship torpedoed in 1942 and pushed into the sea by Agung's 1963 eruption, now a wreck dive and snorkel from the beach.

This is the best tour in Bali. I believe our tour guide putu adi made it even more excellent. The heavens gate pictures are immensely alluring . I will venture to say please ask for putu adi when in Bali for the tour. Thank me later. He is patient, understanding and makes the tour day less tiring. He knew the best places for pictures, best pose that fits certain areas. He was pleasantly available to take our pictures all throughout the tour. We enjoyed the whole drive and tour.. Eine tolle Tour! Unser Guide Made war wirklich fantastisch und hat alles dafür getan, dass wir eine tolle Zeit hatten. Wir sind zunächst zum Himmelstor (man sollte Wartezeit einberechnen wenn man Fotos haben möchte) und danach erst zu weiteren Fotospots. Es ist schon alles sehr auf die klassischen Instagram Fotos ausgelegt aber Made hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, uns mit Infos und Wissen zu Bali, der Kultur, Religion und Bräuchen zu versorgen. Er ist wirklich eine sehr toller Guide. Einzig der Besuch im traditionellen Dorf und der Führung durch einen dort lebenden jungen Mann war eher verges

It was a wonderful day; the guide showed us some beautiful spots and was very professional. He even took photos of us. He gave us excellent explanations regarding the culture and religion while we visited the temples.
Die Tour ist für Fotospots genial, bietet tolle Aussichtspunkte.. Allerdings muss man Wartezeiten in Kauf nehmen. Für ein Foto am Himmelstor mind. 1 Std einplanen. aber es lohnt sich, weil man eine schöne Erinnerung mitnehmen kann. Unser Fahrer Komang war pünktlich, super freundlich, bei Fotos unterstützt und am Ende sogar Überstunden gemacht, weil wir in den Stau gekommen sind und in Ubud zum Abendessen waren.
