Full description
This is a 10-hour experience from Ubud, built around Gate of Heaven Lempuyang Temple, Maha Gangga Valley and Tirta Gangga. It is run by Balitour31, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang is the first of seven temples climbing Mount Lempuyang in Karangasem, east Bali, and its split gate frames Mount Agung on a clear morning. The famous mirror-image photograph is made by a photographer at the gate holding a piece of glass under a phone; there is no lake. That photograph is the reason for the queue, which runs to two hours or more from mid-morning, so tours leave Ubud around 5:00 to be there when it opens. A shuttle runs from the car park up to the temple, a sarong is required, and Agung is most often clear before nine. East Bali days usually continue to Tirta Gangga water palace and the Taman Ujung palace on the coast.

This was such a great experience. The day was packed with great sites and variety in the stops to keep the day well balanced and interesting while keeping a great pace. It was a great pace with plenty of time to enjoy each stop, and minimal time in transit. He was very personable and was very easy company for the day. We had an absolutely amazing day exploring East Bali! The tour was very well organized and included so many beautiful places: Lempuyang Temple, a coffee and tea plantation with tasting and explanations, the rice terraces, Tirta Gangga, Taman Ujung Water Palace and Virgin Beach. A special mention goes to our guide and driver, Wayan, who made the whole experience even better. He was incredibly kind, friendly, helpful and always available throughout the day. He explained many interesting things about the places we visited and about Balinese culture, and he was always happy to answer our questions
We really enjoyed this tour with our driver and guide, Wayan. Wayan was very patient, informative and helpful. He never rushed us. He made us feel his utmost goal was to make us enjoy ourselves. just got back from my absolutely amazing day exploring the wonderful surrounding places from my hotel in Amed. Wayan my driver took myself and my husband to the Lempuyang temple, Tunas Bali Luwak coffee, Karangasem Tirtangga water places gardens, Taman Ujung water palace, a rice plantation, Virginia beach and then Wayan took us to lovely place that served all different nationalities of food. Nous avons adoré le maha gangga village et pourtant c’est ce qui nous inspirait le moins! Les temple sont sympa par contre prévoyez 3h d’attente pour 1 photo au temple lempuyan et même en arrivant vers 7h30 du matin… La Virgin Beach est très belle si vous adorez la plage Guide très sympa!
We had a wonderful day trip with our great tour guide Wayang. From the moment he picked us up early in the morning we had a good vibe together. He was so nice and brought us to wonderful spots. There was space for our wishes, he brought us to this special coffee plantage when we said we would like a good coffee, we enjoyed so much. It’s rainy season but at every spot the weather was dry and during the driving the rain hits hard. We were so lucky.
