This is a 1-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by Adriana Travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Horse riding on Bali happens on the black-sand beaches of Gianyar, at Saba and Keramas, half an hour south-east of Ubud, and at Sanur and Seminyak in the south. Rides run 60 to 90 minutes at a walk and trot along the sand and through the coconut groves behind it, on small, quiet Indonesian horses, with a guide leading beginners on a lead rope; helmets are provided and long trousers are sensible. Early morning and the last hour before sunset are the times to ride, for the light and because the sand is too hot underfoot in the middle of the day.

Great experience ! Walking on the beach and in water with the horses is amazing souvenirs. The black sand beach is so nice ! Horses were nice and guides very helpful to do great pictures. We took the drone option, it worth it, we got great shots !!

It was ok, I had read bad reviews and was worried. Was early so we started early and the 2 chaps looked after us. As you walk in it states no canter on the beach by law so if you want something fast this is not for you. A nice slow walk along the beach, yes it has a bit of rubbish but I have seen a lot worse. Yes the horses are not like I would like here in England but they were all being bathed as we got there and they weee having a nice roll in the dust. They let us walk on our own and we got deep in the waves. Drone footage is great. Kind people here.
