Bali's sun sets between 6:10 and 6:40 through the year and full dark comes within half an hour, so evening tours are timed tightly around it. Fireflies are found in the wet paddies and along the rivers outside the town lights, usually from about 7:00, and are brightest in the wet season; the dance performances in Ubud start at 7:30 at the palace and the Ubud Water Palace. Night markets open at about 5:00. Mosquito repellent matters after dark in the paddies, and a torch is useful on the paths.

De Grab kende het afzet punt niet waardoor we een uur te laat waren Gelukkig was dat geen probleem maar de zon was al onder. De paarden waren vermoeid en waren bezweet. Ik ben een paardrijdster en mijn paard had pijn aan zijn rug Toen het paard het water niet inwilde pakte de begeleider een stok en toen ging het paard wel Er wordt dus niet heel diervriendelijk omgegaan met deze dieren Ik ben wat eerder afgestapt want vond het zielig

Kwamen aan en ik vond het ontvangst een beetje rommelig. Ik kon ook eerder beginnen wat voor mij niet uitmaakte maar het leek niet echt gestructureerd qua tijden. Het paard was wel heel lief en mak maar als ervaren ruiter kon je hem niet echt “rijden” hij luisterde bijvoorbeeld niet als je been gaf dit was niet zo’n mega probleem omdat het ook niet de bedoeling was om mega hard te gaan maar het viel mij wel op. Ik heb wel nog een stukje kunnen draven en galopperen wat wel leuk was. Ik had soms wel het idee alsof het paard er niet zoveel zin meer in had en ik denk dat hij misschien al meerdere
