Full description
This is a 1.5-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by PT. Gorilla Adventures Bali, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

It does not cover Photos and Videos and Tip & gratuities, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
PT. Gorilla Adventures Bali sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with PT. Gorilla Adventures Bali before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Our guide Resia was very helpful and kind and shared a lot about the balinese culture and history with us during our trip. He waited patiently for us during activities and informed us where we were going next, when we would arrive etc. He even followed along with us on the Rice terrace and took very nice photos of us. He also recommended us to do tuping and made it possible to do it on the way to the rice terrasse. The ATV activity was very cool and our guide during the ATV was also really kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this trip.

Eka our guide was absolutely amazing, the communication from the very start was great and thorough, he arrived 5 minutes before pick up time and let us know he was here and exactly where he parked. We were super comfortable as two women travelling by themselves, Eka was kind, friendly and very respectful. I feel like the rice terrace and pool tour is a bit overrated, but the ATV was a banger of a time. The tour guides for the atv were absolutely great, and when we had issues with our quads they were fixed quickly or replaced with a new atv,
Driver Gede arrived to pick us up promptly and very helpful and friendly. ATV’s so much fun and very well organised. Coffee plantation very interesting, organised and got to taste numerous blends of coffee. Cretya beautiful only wished we had more time however it wouldn’t have fitted in the day. Overall very enjoyable 😀

My activity was so much fun. I had a great time. The ATV writing was a lot of fun and the pool was so beautiful. Took great pictures and my tour guide Dewa was is the best. He made sure I was OK and showed me to all the places I needed to be. He was very nice and kept me good company as a solo traveler I felt safe. I definitely recommend this tour. It’s worth it.
