Full description
This is a 1-hour experience from Ubud, built around Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Tegalalang and Kumulilir. It is run by Trip Gotik - Bali Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

We had a wonderful day trip at The Monkey Forest Sanctuary and Kumulil in Bali and an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide Wayan was amazing and very knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting information about Bali, its culture, and traditions. Everyone was super friendly, hospitable, respectful, and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable throughout the trip. Everything was well organized, and we truly enjoyed every moment. This trip was fantastic! We adored the monkeys in the monkey forest. They were very friendly and funny! The swing and zip wire add on were such fantastic experiences, if a little adrenaline inducing!! The rice field was so beautiful! Our guide Yoga and all of the staff helped us take amazing photos and videos. Afterwards we explored the rice terraces and Yoga explained so much to us about this process. What really made the trip special though was our wonderful guide, Yoga. He was helpful and informative, answering every question and ensuring we had the best possible experience. On our journey
