Hidden Waterfall Hiking in Ubud
Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by Blue Lagoon Snorkeling, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The waterfalls around Ubud sit in a band to the east and south of the town, mostly within an hour's drive. Tegenungan is the closest and the busiest, with a broad fall and a pool at the bottom. Tibumana and Kanto Lampo, both in Bangli, are smaller and better for getting in the water: Tibumana drops in a single curtain into a clear pool, and at Kanto Lampo the water fans across a stepped rock face that people climb onto for photographs. All of them involve steps down and back up, and the rocks are slippery, so proper sandals or shoes that can get wet are the right footwear. The wet season, November to March, brings the fullest flow but also brown water for a day or two after heavy rain.
The price covers Private transport, All entrance tickets and fees, Visit to Yehpoh Waterfall, Guided waterfall hike and Face towel. It does not cover Hiking shoes, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Blue Lagoon Snorkeling sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Blue Lagoon Snorkeling before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Traveler Reviews
An incredible experience! You'll hike through a remote village surrounded by pristine tropical forest, meeting friendly locals who will greet you with smiles. The hidden waterfall is absolutely stunning; you can swim, and the water is quite clean and refreshing. The waterfall has just been renovated, but it hasn't had many visitors yet. Our guide, Ketut, was fantastic and very helpful. He speaks some English, having worked in a hotel before. Highly recommended.
We met our hiking guide in the village at 10 am and set off on a truly authentic jungle tour, far from the crowds and noise of typical tourist spots. The hike was stunning and absolutely worthwhile. Our guide was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable—always explaining interesting things along the way while making sure we felt safe. The trail led us over the hills until we reached a beautiful waterfall, where we spent a few hours enjoying the scenery. On the way back, we took a different route through picturesque rice fields, where we were warmly greeted by smiling villagers busy with their da
