Full description
This is a 8-hour experience from Ubud, built around Banyumala Waterfalls, Jatiluwih Rice Terrace and Ulun Danu Bratan Temple. It is run by Your Bali Trekking Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.
Pickup is offered from Badung Regency, Kuta, Bangli Regency, Seminyak, Ubud and Kuta Selatan; the exact spot and time are agreed with Your Bali Trekking Tour once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.
The price covers Hotel pick-up and drop off, Entrance fees, driver/guide and Transportation by air-conditioned vehicle. It does not cover Lunch and Personal Expenses, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Excellent day trip from ubud to the hidden waterfall ulun danu temple then rice field. Long journey but well worth it.
Though it rained, we had an absolute blast going to the waterfall, temple, and rice terraces with our guide, Sarwa. He was incredibly informative and personable, which made the whole experience a highlight of our trip to Bali. Highly recommend booking through Sarwa Edi if you’re going to do any excursions.

Gede Susila was an excellent driver and guide for our trip. He was very attentive and took us to some amazing spots. He suggested some other activities along the way and was very flexible with what we wanted to do during the day. He was constantly checking in with us and making sure we were comfortable and was an excellent driver. He also taught us about the culture of Bali and shared lots of knowledge about life on the island. If we were to hire a private driver again we will be messaging him. We had an amazing day. The best part of the activity was our Tour Guide Sarwa Edi. Yes everywhere we went was breath takingly amazing on it's own but with his knowledge and humor he elevated this activity. I highly recommend him for any excursions anyone is planning on.
This was a very nice tour. We especially enjoyed the waterfall trek plus the “temple on the lake”. Benny was a great guide - we appreciated his knowledge on the areas we went to. He answered all of our questions plus pointed out interesting things we would have otherwise missed.
We really enjoyed all the activities. It was worth using the scooters to get down to the waterfalls as it was a hot day and a lot of steps. Dewa our guide was an excellent driver, very kind and caring and a pleasure to be with. He took some amazing photos for us at the places we visited. He also stop on route so we could see and feed the monkeys by the side of the lake. The waterfalls were beautiful, along with the temple and the rice terraces were stunning.. we thoroughly enjoyed our day and would definitely recommend 😃
