This is a 4-hour experience from Ubud, built around Kintamani and Taro. It is run by The Authentic Bali Experience, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Kintamani is the ridge on the rim of the Batur caldera, at about 1,500 metres, and the viewpoint at Penelokan looks down on the volcano, the lava field of the 1968 eruption and Lake Batur. It is cool enough for a jacket. Penglipuran, in Bangli on the road up, is a traditional village of stone-paved lanes and bamboo-roofed compounds that keeps its layout under village rules, with a bamboo forest behind it. The coffee plantations along this road sell tastings of local arabica and robusta and the civet-processed kopi luwak; the tastings are free with the expectation of a purchase, and the caged civets at some of them are worth asking about before you buy.

The tour was amazing. The track go from cute tiny villages, forest, a lot of temples to rice field. We made a stop at a local community shop for tea and coffee tasting. We then had an amazing lunch at a local restaurant in the middle of the jungle with view on the river. The food was amazing! Thanks again to the all team for that great day!
INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL THE TIME!! The arrangement from Made and the Tour Driver (Komang) plus de Cycling Guide (Komang) make this cycling tour an unforgettable adventure. It’s not just a simple cycling tour, it can be adjusted based on the skills and request from the customers (which was my case) to make a downhill a bit more SPICY but always SAFE. Made was an incredible guide. We rode along one of the most beautiful roads, passing through local villages, temples, and some of the most peaceful, breathtaking scenery. He even stopped so we could experience a traditional pig roast and took the time to explain the cultural significance of everything we saw along the way. I highly recommend this tour—it was truly unforgettable.
Great, authentic experience. Our tour guide provided us with a “hands-on” Bali experience and amazing insights into local food, farming and culture. The cycling is easily doable as it is almost completely downhill - we took the option for a small detour with one strong but very short incline.

Descente en vélo très bien en dehors des sentiers battus et des touristes, visite d’un village balinais typique et repas au milieu d’une rizière.
We hadden een mooie tocht met prachtige uitzichten en mooie plekken die we hebben bezocht. Wel vonden we de tocht veel zwaarder dan we van tevoren hadden gedacht. Dat kwam, bleek later, omdat onze gids ons op een alternatieve tour had genomen. Niveau was goed te doen maar wel handig om vooraf te checken. De andere mensen in onze groep, waaronder kinderen hebben de makkelijkere tocht gedaan. Eren was lekker en er werd goed voor ons gezorgd. De gids was aardig en behulpzaam. Wij hebben een hele leuke dag gehad!
