Lempuyang Temple: Gate of Heaven (Ubud)

This is a 9-hour experience from Ubud, built around Lempuyang Temple, Tirta Gangga and Tenganan. It is run by Baliosa Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang is the first of seven temples climbing Mount Lempuyang in Karangasem, east Bali, and its split gate frames Mount Agung on a clear morning. The famous mirror-image photograph is made by a photographer at the gate holding a piece of glass under a phone; there is no lake. That photograph is the reason for the queue, which runs to two hours or more from mid-morning, so tours leave Ubud around 5:00 to be there when it opens. A shuttle runs from the car park up to the temple, a sarong is required, and Agung is most often clear before nine. East Bali days usually continue to Tirta Gangga water palace and the Taman Ujung palace on the coast.

Pickup is offered from Bali and Kuta; the exact spot and time are agreed with Baliosa Tour once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

The price covers Transfers, Destination entrance ticket and/or contributions, A bottled water, driver and Lunch. It does not cover Personal expenses and Tipping, so budget for those separately.
