Full description
This is a 4-hour experience from Ubud, built around Mount Batur. It is run by PT. Gorilla Adventures Bali, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Mount Batur is an active volcano of 1,717 metres standing inside a much older caldera, with Lake Batur on the floor of it. Sunrise treks start from Toya Bungkah on the lake shore, climb for around two hours on volcanic sand and loose rock, and aim to be on the rim by about 5:30, since the sun comes up between 6:00 and 6:30 depending on the month, behind the cone of Mount Agung to the east. The summit before dawn is regularly 8 to 12°C with wind, so a real warm layer matters more than anything else you pack. Trekking is run through the local village association, which is why every tour, ours included, comes with a guide, and most mornings end at the hot springs on the lake shore. Jeep and ATV versions drive to a viewpoint on the flank of the volcano for the same sunrise and skip the climb, which is the right choice for knees, small children and anyone who did not sleep. In the wet season, November to March, the top is often inside cloud at dawn and there is no refund for weather.

Good balance between adventure and experience level of the drivers

Ijonk was very efficient, the quad bike was amazing!!! and the whole experience with healing hot springs and coffee tasting was also very nice package as a whole. breakfast was tiny. maybe 1 extra fruit would have been sufficient.

Was such a good experience!! We quad biked up the mountain and watched the sunset which was very beautiful. Then we went and looked at some black lava. After that we had some time as the hot spring spa which was nice. Lastly we visited a coffee place which brewed coffee and tasted loads of different kinds. Overall all the guides we had on the day were 10/10 very nice and friendly would definitely recommend!

The experience was wonderful and the sunrise beautiful, eventhough it was a cloudy morning, the view is still magnificent. The relaxing afterwards in the Hot Springs was also very relaxing. At our excellent service our guide Gunawan prepared and accompanied us through everything and accomodated for every wish. He sent us the itinerary and gave us additional reccommendations on what to be prepared for, for instance the cold in the mountains or that there will be towels at the hot springs for us. He was very well prepared and communication with him before and during our trip was very easy and fa

The atv was fun and adventurous, the hot spring was warm and refreshing. The whole trip was filled with breathtaking views and brilliant for photos and memories.
