Full description
This is a 5-hour experience from Ubud, built around Mount Batur and Batur Natural Hot Spring. It is run by Your Bali Trekking Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Mount Batur is an active volcano of 1,717 metres standing inside a much older caldera, with Lake Batur on the floor of it. Sunrise treks start from Toya Bungkah on the lake shore, climb for around two hours on volcanic sand and loose rock, and aim to be on the rim by about 5:30, since the sun comes up between 6:00 and 6:30 depending on the month, behind the cone of Mount Agung to the east. The summit before dawn is regularly 8 to 12°C with wind, so a real warm layer matters more than anything else you pack. Trekking is run through the local village association, which is why every tour, ours included, comes with a guide, and most mornings end at the hot springs on the lake shore. Jeep and ATV versions drive to a viewpoint on the flank of the volcano for the same sunrise and skip the climb, which is the right choice for knees, small children and anyone who did not sleep. In the wet season, November to March, the top is often inside cloud at dawn and there is no refund for weather.

I really liked the trekking at mount batur to see the sunrise
I had a wonderful day full of attractions. I especially enjoyed the climb to the top of the volcano's crater. My driver, Vixo, drove me safely and reliably to every attraction. He was able to answer all my questions and always made sure there was enough food and drink in the car. I can recommend this tour, and especially Vixo, to everyone :)
We had an excellent day that never felt rushed. Kadek led the hike at a steady, inclusive pace, and we reached the summit right on time to clear skies and a beautiful sunrise. Angga was a fantastic driver, patient, informative, and generous with local insights. He brought us to Lua Coffee and later went out of his way to a local restaurant to try a delicious duck specialty. From organization to guidance, everything was smooth and thoughtful. Couldn’t recommend this experience more.

Sehr interessante Tour. Vor allem die ATV Tour hat gut gepasst da kaum Leute auf der Strecke waren. Transport mit dem Fahrer (Toni) hat einwandfrei funktioniert.
