Full description
This is a 8-hour experience from Ubud, built around Nungnung Waterfall, Jatiluwih and Ulun Danu Bratan Temple. It is run by Trip Gotik - Bali Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Jatiluwih is the largest stretch of terraced paddy on Bali, around 600 hectares on the southern slopes of Mount Batukaru in Tabanan, and it is the showcase of the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Unlike Tegallalang, there is room to walk for an hour or two on marked paths through the fields without traffic or swings, and the terraces here are wide and flat rather than steep. Rice is planted in cycles, so the fields are bright green for some months and cut stubble for others; ask the operator what stage they are at if the photographs matter to you. Mornings are clearer, and cloud tends to build over Batukaru after midday.
Pickup is offered from Ubud and Denpasar; the exact spot and time are agreed with Trip Gotik - Bali Tours once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

The trip has been amazing thanks to our guide Mangku: he’s been kind and interesting from the beginning to the end, leading us as a true inhabitant, trying to make us find the less crowded and theistic spot to feel the real Balinese atmosphere! We did the tour with Putu Sandi and it was great! He’s such a nice person and told us so many facts about Balinese culture. We loved the waterfall, temple and rice field. We asked to stop to have breakfast and he did it so kindly. We enjoyed so much the ride. We recommend so much doing this tour and Sandi!!

Lovely day trip with guide and driver Subi who picked and dropped us off at our Airbnb. We started at the NungNung waterfall, which I’d recommend as it was the highlight of the trip for us and now we had the most energy + least people there! Subi was very nice, told us a lot about Bali and was nice to talk too in general. He also checked in with us, what we felt like, what our needs were and adapted accordingly. We really appreciated that! Can recommend!
cascata molto bella immersa nella giungla, ci sono molti gradini da fare ma ne vale la pena. tempio al lago Bratan molto suggestivo. le risaie un vero spettacolo! la nostra guida gentile, sorridente e competente.
La nostra guida privata Mangku si è manifestata fin da subito molto puntale, disponibile e preparata. Molto interessante la visita alle risaie di Jatiluwih; abbiamo potuto toccare con mano tutte la fasi delle colture grazie alle spiegazioni approfondite di Mangku e alle lavorazioni in corso del terreno, sia manuali che con i macchinari. Caratteristico il tempio sul lago Bratan. 500 i gradini per raggiungere le cascate di Nungnung, ma ne è valsa la pena.

Raka ha sido un guía de 10, conduce tranquilamente mientras te explica cosas. Nos habló el día de antes para confirmarnos donde nos recogía y demás. Durante la excursión no llevábamos ninguna prisa, nos hacia muchas fotos muy chulas y nos encantaron los sitios que visitamos.
