Private Sekumpul Waterfall Hiking Tour in Ubud
Full description
This is a 10-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by Your Bali Trekking Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The waterfalls of north Bali are bigger and quieter than the ones around Ubud, and further away: Sekumpul, Banyumala, Gitgit and the falls around Munduk are all roughly two hours from Ubud on the road over the mountains past the lakes. Sekumpul is the largest on the island at about 80 metres, and reaching the base means a steep descent of several hundred steps and a river crossing, so it is a walk rather than a viewpoint stop. Munduk sits at around 800 metres, which makes it noticeably cooler and often misty in the afternoon. Days up here usually pair a waterfall with the lake temple at Ulun Danu Beratan and the Handara Gate.
The price covers Hotel pick-up and drop off, Transportation by air-conditioned minivan, Private driver, Trekking guide and Entrance ticket and fees. It does not cover Lunch, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Great day - driver was excellent and made use of local knowledge when the queues to the temple were like Disneyland! My guide at the waterfalls, Dwii, was a legend! Completely took onboard my lack of interest in a typical Bali style photo shoot đ. Itâs a long day, and I was glad I cancelled the coffee stop (Iâd been already) as it wouldâve been too much. Props to my driver, Sanjaya, for dropping off the photos at my hotel.
Ketut at Sekumpul waterfall was one of the best tour guide i ever had! Had a lot of fun with him at the waterfall and hes so good at taking awesome pics. Definitely would recommend to anyone
Just had the best experience with my guide Gede Susila. the trip has been fantastic, i got a lot of informations about everything we saw and the tour has been designed according to my wishes. I really appreciate and thank youâşď¸
Gung was a fantastic tour guide. The best in town, so clear, nice and good driver. All the time he took care of us, we felt so confortable. We truly recommend to do the tour with him
Everything went great and smoothly. Our guide, Gung, was right on time even though it was very early in the morning. We had a beautiful Sekumpul experience avoiding the crowds by being there early in the morning. Our guide was very helpful, offering a very good place for lunch.
Everything about the day was great, we had Putu as a driver and he was very punctual and friendly and arrived to the hotel 20 minutes early. when we started the waterfall tour we had Mrysa as a tour guide and she was great and took us to both Fiji falls and Sekumpul falls and she took alot of great pictures for us! She also took us to a Warung on the trek for lunch on the way back from the waterfalls. 10/10 would recommend
The waterfalls were amazing and the guides lots of fun. Scenery beautiful and the hike was challenging but satisfying. Coffee stop was ok and we didnât do the temple as one of our party wee not well. Long day so choice to not stop for lunch and temple was welcomed
I had the most unforgettable day exploring Sekumpul Waterfall and Ulun Danu Temple thanks to Gede Sila! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, safe, and fully able to soak in the magic of Baliâeven when the weather didnât cooperate. It started raining not long into our trip, and while most people would have been deterred, I still wanted to explore. Gede didnât miss a beatâhe carried an umbrella the entire time just so I could walk freely through the rain without a second thought. He was so kind, patient, and flexible, even when I spontaneously changed ou
I was left in awe by the power of the waterfalls! I'd definitely recommend a visit. I picked the short trek option. It was rather a simple trek that consisted mostly of stairs. But still, there are approximately 400 steps and some of them are huge, so be prepared! It also helps to bring some waterproof shoes as you will need to cross some rocky streams. My driver, Werdi, was thoughtful enough to tailor the itinery to my liking and stop on the way for breakfast. My guide, Somia, was really sweet. She helped me navigate the way, told me all she knew about the waterfalls and helped me take the be
Everything was perfect. Gede Susila, our driver and guide, has been extremely kind and always happy to give recommendations and explanations on Indu culture. The tour combines nature (waterfalls), culture (Ulun Danu Bratan Temple) and gastronomy (tea and coffee tasting). Overall, a wonderful experience
My personal driver and guide Teddy was perfect for my needs. It was a long drive from Ubud, but I enjoyed every minute. The waterfalls are exceptionally beautiful. I scipped the coffee plantation, no need to go there if you donât like this lowak cat poop nonsense.
We had a very memorable experience! If youâre in Bali, this is a must!!! It was truly worth the 280 stairs (you need to be ready for the many stairs that lead you to the waterfall). But our guide was amazing and guided us throughout our experience. I would suggest you wear non-slippery shoes though as some surfaces might be slippery especially when itâs raining. Also keep in mind that you will need to cross a river (be ready that to get wet up to your knees). And also I would suggest brining a mosquito repellent. Once you see the waterfall you will realize itâs all worth it!!! Our guide took A
