This is a 5.5-hour experience from Ubud, built around Amed. It is run by Amed Local Adventures, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The quieter experiences around Ubud and its coast take an hour or two and ask little of you: sound healing sessions with gongs and singing bowls run about an hour lying down in a hall; sunrise fishing trips leave Padang Bai or the Gianyar coast at about 5:30 in a jukung outrigger, hand-lining for two or three hours over the reef before the wind rises, with the catch cooked afterwards if you want it. Both are weather-dependent at the margins, and the boat trips do not run in a big swell.

Brilliant morning fishing with Wayan catching a large barracuda and Mahi Mahi We sailed out and back to the fishing spot which was also a great part of the experience
Wayan was the best captain we could have asked for. We even booked it for a 2nd day, cause we had such a great time. We caught a bunch of Mahi, and a wahoo. Wayan is very helpful and super nice. We will now be coming back to Amed every time we’re in Bali, just to fish with him. Book this excursion now. It’s so worth it!

Great day on the water with Juli! We managed to get fish when other boats missed out. Juli is clearly a great waterman, and I felt confident with my son (8 years old) at sea. We had an amazing bbq after… a very memorable experience. Thank you Juli, and also to the rest of the staff for the excellent communication and service!
An absolutely unforgettable experience! Our guide was incredibly kind and caring, we immediately felt welcomed like friends. We were lucky enough to catch 9 fish, all while enjoying a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. The trip was absolutely amazing, pulled in a few Mahi Mahi and Tuna within minutes of reaching the fishing spot, and the meal cooked up for us by our guide in the evening was delicious. All in all, this was a very memorable experience. Thank you
An overall great and authentic fishing experience. It was great yo be able to learn from an experienced fisherman and enjoy some peaceful time on the water. I was able to reel in a huge jiti fish and it was truly an exceptional moment. Everyone was so kind and shared some great stories.
