Full description
This is a 2.5-hour experience from Ubud, built around Ayung River and Uma Ceking Rice Terraces and Swing. It is run by PT. Gorilla Adventures Bali, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

Amazing day in Ubud! We did white-water rafting, zip lining, the rice fields and coffee tasting. So much fun as a couple! Lunch was included and everything was great, but what truly made our day unforgettable was our amazing driver, Herry. He went above and beyond, becoming our driver, tour guide and photographer all in one! His knowledge, humour and beautiful personality made the whole day so memorable. We had an absolutely amazing day filled with fun activities! First of all, a big compliment to Herry, our driver and guide, who was with us from the moment we were picked up until we were dropped off again. He was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. During the tour, he shared a lot of interesting information with us, and even between the activities he told us many interesting things about the surroundings and the local area. Rafting was very nice, beautiful scenery and a good group with guide who was very friendly and fun. Zip line and rice terraces very scenic and our driver Alberth was very accommodating as we took in the sites, even showing us some of the local food, providing water, and taking excellent pictures for us. A great day out.
Very fun experience and guides were amazing, I would highly recommend bringing extra tip money for the people at the river that work SO hard bringing the very heavy rafts up and down the stairs 10x a day, they definitely deserve the recognition for all they do
