The Sacred Monkey Forest in Padangtegal, on the southern edge of Ubud town, is around 12 hectares of forest holding roughly a thousand long-tailed macaques and three temples that date from the fourteenth century. The monkeys are wild and used to people, which is a combination that costs visitors sunglasses, water bottles and anything edible every day; the rule is to carry nothing loose, to avoid eye contact with a monkey that is staring at you, and never to touch one. The forest opens at 9:00 and the last hour before closing is the quietest. The temples inside are working temples and are entered only by worshippers.

Pickup is offered from Nusa dua and Denpasar; the exact spot and time are agreed with Tour Activity Bali once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

The price covers Hotel pick-up and drop-off, Transportation, driver & local guide, Monkey Forest entrance ticket and Balinese coffee plantation visit. It does not cover Bali Swing ticket/package, Food and meals, Personal expenses and Souvenirs or coffee products, so budget for those separately. Hotel pickup in Ubud. Tour Activity Bali confirms your pickup time and the exact spot once the booking is in. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Tour Activity Bali before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.
