Full description
This is a 3.5-hour experience from Ubud, built around Telaga Waja River. It is run by Trip Gotik - Bali Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
White-water rafting near Ubud runs on the Ayung river, about twelve kilometres of class II to III water through a gorge below Payangan, taking around two hours on the water. Telaga Waja in the east is steeper, class III to IV, and used by operators who want more of a run. Both rivers rise sharply after rain, which makes the wet season, November to March, the faster ride and the dry season the calmer one; operators cancel when the river is genuinely too high. There is a walk down steps to the put-in and up again at the end, and everything you take gets wet, so leave phones in the dry bag the operator provides.

The rafting activity was so much fun, our guide was amazing. The scenery and many waterfalls you get to see blew us away. The transfer to and from the activity was seamless and very knowledgeable driver whose nabe is Komang. I chatted non stop with him for 1.5 hours each way about Bali.
Very good, guide made the experience very enjoyable
It was great had so much fun. The captain of the boat was good in communication and explaining the safety was good. The rafting was better than ubud and the lunch was delicious. The spa place was not friendly feel like it was just a job as the receptionist was not friendly. The massage wasn’t great the street massage was better. The massage was a waste of money.

C’était très bien. On a pu voir de beaux paysages, des rizières, des cascades, c’était vraiment très beau. Le guide était très sécurisant malgré la complexité de certains passages. Je recommande.
I need to say one thing in advance: the tour itself was great. The landscape was beautiful, our guide was really nice (though on the quieter side), and the food at the end was delicious. BUT we really weren’t happy with the organization of the whole thing. First off, we followed the GYG instructions to the meeting point. There was literally nothing there. Since we didn’t have a SIM card we then asked around at the other providers if they could point us in the right direction. 5 told us they had never heard of Gotik. Finally we found another provider who told us that Gotik was merged with them
