This is a 5-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by CV MUNDUK DANU BALI TOUR, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

Nadat we dat van tevoren hadden aangegeven heeft hij speciaal een tour voorbereid die wel de mooiste plekken beziet, maar niet super fysiek inspannend is. Heel prettige ervaring en absoluut aanbevolen om deze tour een keer mee te pakken.
Wonderful experience! You get to see the local villages and rice terraces up close and really immerse yourself in the culture. The hidden waterfall is absolutely amazing and so refreshing after the hike. Our guide Joni was fantastic and the lunch was delicious!

Erg leuk om te doen! Een lokale gids ( Joni) met heel veel kennis over de rijstvelden, flora en fauna. Lunch was heerlijk en de afsluiting bij de waterval verfrissend..
Wir wurden pünktlich am Morgen von Dika mit dem Auto in Lovina abgeholt und sicher nach Munduk gebracht. Die Stimmung im Auto war top. Dika hat einen super Musikgeschmack und spricht perfektes Englisch. Der anschliessende Spaziergang (körperlich nicht so anspruchsvoll) mit Jony hat uns super gefallen! Er wusste unglaublich viel über Früchte und Pflanzen (Nelken, Kaffeebohnen, Kakao, Pfeffer, verschiedene Blumen, …). Die Reisfelder waren eindrücklich und der Wasserfall ein absolutes Highlight! Abstieg machbar. Jony war sehr aufmerksam und hat sich immer wieder versichert, dass es allen gut geht
Het was een mooie en leerzame wandeling. Voor mensen met een mindere conditie is het ook goed te doen, ik heb bij het weer omhoog wandelen gewoon gezegd dat ik een paar kèer wil stoppen om even op adem te komen en dat was geen probleem. Onze gids John nam de tijd om alles uit te leggen en had zelfs witte passievrucht en mandarijnen uit eigen tuin voor ons meegenomen.
Fantastisch vriendelijke lokale gids Jony. Deze trip door de rijstvelden hadden we zelf nooit kunnen vinden of samenstellen. Meeting point was moeilijker om te vinden, met een beetje vertraging aan een heerlijke trip begonnen.
